Use for low voltage led lights to repel rodents.
Perfect to add led lights under my trailer. Hooked to battery and solar charger to the trailer batteries. No more rodents at the Duck Club

Works as Advertised
Easy to install per instructions. Black to Load Terminal of Transformer, Red to the Load (lights) and White to both the Transformer Common and Load (lights) Common. One note, the photocell is rated at 10 Amps. So if your Transformer Output is 12 Volts your maximum Load is 120 Watts. P=I V Where P=Power, I=Amps and V=Volts.

2 Pk DC 12V 10A On/Off Photocell Light Switch Dusk to Dawn Photocell Sensor Outdoor
They appear to be as described. I would prefer a more robust feel in the hand. They have a slight delicate "feel". However, if remain functional for a reasonable period of time, that's what counts. The instructions, wiring (versus other here) - are correct. In a low voltage scenario light activated switch like this - neither side would care if power or load and instead of have two "Neutral" wire (that would be connected anyway internally - they supply the one for both power/load.The white "shade" should hang down since has a condensation drain hole (1mm +-) and assume the "top" is water "proof".To "Test" it, I wrapped a dark piece of cloth around it, in hand and that was enough - 5 secs consistently to turn "on" and 4 secs to turn "off".So far it is working as expected the past 3 days. The fact that they send two does not instill "confidence" in the quality or durability - but, who knows - time will tell.I installed it in a somewhat shielded spot, not hammered by rain, snow, etc - light exposure is fine/optimal.I hope that helps someone.

Good little unit
I've read a number of reviews on here saying it doesn't work with DC. It absolutely does. You just have to connect to the correct wires. Positive goes to the black wire, and negative goes to the white wire. Red is the output.I'm using this to operate some yard lights off of a solar panel battery system and it works great!Would highly recommend these for any 12v project where dusk to dawn operation is desired. My Solar Battery puts out about 12.6 to 12.8 volts at night, 13.8 volts during sunlight hours and have had no issues, so I'll say there is some voltage tolerance in the units.

***WIRES TOO THIN. Item works but not for stated amperage***
Item works, but the wires are only 18 or 20 AWG. Thus, the wire gauge (thickness) is only good for currents of about 1-5 amps based on US wire recommendations. I was planning to use this for solar powered landscape lighting using 12 AWG wires. Connecting this sensor's 18 or 20 AWG wires would be a very weak link in the setup.
