Aesthetically pleasing, quiet, reliable
Brought several small kitchen appliances from the U.S. to the UK. This is not only aesthetically pleasing, but quiet. Very happy with this purchase!

Works great! 3W draw when nothing is plugged in.
It’s been running great for a week. I use this to power a 110V espresso machine I had in the US. The problem is that transformers can’t change the frequency. The machine is designed for 60Hz, but the UK is 50Hz. Fortunately my very fancy machine allows me to adjust for this, but yours might not. I am monitoring the power draw on this transformer. When the espresso machine is on idle (trickle charge for a tablet display) it draws 5W. At max power it uses 1350W to steam milk. When I turn everything off, it uses 3W to maintain the transformer. Finally it fits great on a kitchen counter behind my espresso machine and coffee grinder. You can barely see it. I pray this transformer lasts for a long time. So far it’s been excellent.

Big, neat & does the job
UPDATE: 13 months on - never had an issue, still working perfectly. I bought this transformer to be able to use a US robot vacuum and self empty base in Ireland (saving about €400). It has happily powered my robot vacuum self empty base for 2 weeks (continuously on). The base has a 1400W vacuum motor so I selected the 3kVA transformer to make sure I was comfortably under the rating. I monitor the power used by the vacuum/base and it seems to be pretty much as efficient as it’s rating so no significant losses in the conversion (costs about €0.60 per week running it nearly every day). It is very quiet, only ever a very faint buzz from it and never feels warmer than room temperature. The 3kVA transformer is very big and heavy. The plastic shell has an ok finish, some sink marks from the moulding process make it look a little cheap up close. At the two week mark all seems good, hoping it lasts at least as long as the vacuum!

Device is not working for UK use of a Japanese kettle.
Product didn’t work. Switched the button on day 1 but no power was going through. The next day the power button would not even switch on. Never used it for its purpose which was a 1200w Japanese kettle, I could see the kettle light on but not actually warming up even though trying for 10 minutes at the time. Sadly, useless piece of equipment. I returned it straight away.

Failed but good customer service
Worked fine for 7 months, then failed with a burning smell and a little smoke. Credit to the supplier as they apologized for the failure and issued a refund. Good to know they stand by their product.

High wattage
Bought this to power a Panasonic cordless iron that ran on 120v, and it's brilliant. 2 outlets. It's VERY heavy so is good quality and should last. Seems to be worth the expense so far and it can be hung on a wall for easy use

Solid unit not everheating even under high watts
Using it now for three years for CDN kitchen appliances in Europe and very long strands of old fashioned Xmas tree bulbs with close to 3 k wattage total with no overheating or when using heavy duty Cuisinart no blown fuse or heating. Great value I own two
