Be careful with tension knobs
My mic is half weight stated and the arm is barely holding on to it and keeps sagging down I have to adjust every time I use it I may be doing something wrong I don't know. The video attached is me tightening it and hitting it lightly and you see it saggs a lot. Otherwise the build quality is ok 3-4 out of 5 for me I like it. Cable management is so nice to have and after everything it still works for me so I'm not buying another if you have a rode podmic or heavier though maybe look elsewhere it says 4.4 lbs but my mic is 930g (about 2lbs or so)

Weak tension and failed in under a year
I bought this because of the 4.4lbs rating since I have a fairly heavy mic, a shock mount and a reflection shield. The total weight is maybe around 2.5-3lbs. The arm refused to hold my mic up even at the max tension. It also failed within about 8 months; the swivel base is stuck and won't rotate anymore.

Sturdy
It's a really great product and it's a good fit for anybody needing a boom arm, it's strong, sleek, and just feels really nice to move, it barely moves if you hit it by mistake and if you're intentionally moving it it'll feel like air.Overall great quality and great design if you hate those pesky wires everywhere.

Loving it
Nice product, it has a good system to hide the cable and keep it clean

Not as good as a Blue Compass.
I bought this boom arm because it looks like a deliberate copy of the Blue Compass, which I have on my other computer, and give it five stars. Unfortunately it costs twice as much as this boom arm, so I thought I'd see if there was a reason for the price difference. The answer is yes, there is a difference. Pay the extra money for a Blue Compass. This boom arm works, but it doesn't swivel as smoothly or as quietly as the Compass, the tightening nuts feel like cheap plastic and give the impression that they will break with too much force. The arm appears to be made out of a thinner gauge of metal, and probably a cheaper alloy. Overall, it just almost feels disposable to me. Kind of a disappointment. If you've never used a good boom arm, then maybe this one will be fine. But it's not as good as a Blue Compass, even if it looks like one.
