Tableau 8: The Official Guide

I have become a heavy user of Tableau over the last 12 months and find the resources available in print and online to be very weak. Tableau doesn't do a great job of providing no-nonsense, to-the-point, resources. This book is not going to bring you to a level of detail you might need for a deep dive. This is a macro view of the main tasks for completing a basic Tableau visual, map, dashboard, etc.

Excellent resource for this BI software - now the only thing I need is a non public version of this software to learn more skills.....

This book has everything you need - explanation about databases, integration and charts.But tableau is great tool and every book I used was fun to work with.

I started reading this book the first thing you will notice is quality of book & contentThe CD which you will get with this book ... have 9 classes which gives you overview of all the basic features that are important for tableau beginners !Price wise it is more Kindle/paperback is same (only 4 !)

Tableau is easy to use. But if you're not a DBA or new to Tableau, this book can help you get your data visualization done faster. The book provides the basics for using Tableau efficiently as well as many more advanced techniques. I've been a Tableau employee for 5 years and still found features and techniques I was not aware of before reading the book.

Hands down the best book on Tableau. The illustrations, the examples and the accompanying disc are extremely helpful. I am already claiming awards at my office with the help of this book.
