Life-changing exceptionally good book not just for Skydivers
When I started this book I thought it was more about Skydivers, I soon learned it was a deep dive in the psychology of fear. My wife and I have been skydiving for about one year, But we both continue to have issues with Landings. As Brian Discusses fear can destroy everything. My wife actually had been landing verywell before she had an accident a few weeks agoโฆ Due to fear.I have shared this book with many of my friends & family, because as I read it I could see how fear had shaped and altered all of their lives. Brian Germain is a very subtle but exceptional psychologist, but he speaks about fear from direct experience as an adventure seeking young man. EXCELLENT!

The overall information is good and very intriguing
Fast read, lots of empty space and big fonts. The overall information is good and very intriguing. It also makes you think about your life and how you handle day to day situations. Only thing I didn't like was the language/ writing style. Sometimes I felt like I was reading in circles as much of the same things were repeated (though this could have been intentional in order for the reader to remember the content). Instead of paragraph after paragraph of writing, the book is broken into many small subsections. I'm not sure how I feel about this, it does not flow as well as it would if he were forced to transition between points more smoothly, however it does separate ideas and keep things organized. I wish there would have been more personal stories to give a break from the sermon-giving/priest-like way the book is written.Overall, a quick read, could have been written better, content is worth knowing and learning about and I feel I can trust what is written due to the extensive list of references at the back. Worth the money and would recommend to anyone.

Just what I needed...
One of the best and most insightful books I've ever read. The writing is a bit disorganized...it's kind of like listening to your really drunk or high buddy tell you about the rock opera he's going to write, but in this case your buddy really has a kick a** opera in his head, he's just too high to explain it coherently. What I mean is that this guy really has a handle on what fear is and how to conquer it. He's the type of person I would absolutely trust with my life as a skydiving instructor, and I could easily count on him as a mentor or sensei when it comes to dealing with needless fears...But the book seems to wander a bit...with a good editor the message could be a lot clearer and more coherent. It almost seems like a transcript of a seminar, like Frogs Into Princes. Not super organized or well structured, but man, the ideas and concepts are fantastic. No matter what, read it. Live by it. Learning to manage fear is what makes the difference between regular people and the people everyone elevates as extraordinary. The key to living your life FOR REAL is in this book. Get it. Now.

GREAT book for skydiviers and non-skydivers alike
What an engaging, useful, insightful book. Loved, loved, loved it. I used to skydive so much of the content was relevant to me, but you do not have to be a skydiver to find enormous value in this book. There is actually very few skydiving references. It is an absolute must read for anyone participating in extreme sports or just for life in general - we ALL have fears of some sort at some point... stage fright, heights, spiders, flying... This book really helps one embrace fear and use it as a tool to become a better more enlightened human being. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A really good book
I've never spent so much time re-reading words or entire paragraphs like I did with this book. I've never highlighted so many paragraphs and/or sent them to friends via texts. I really do feel this book is amazing and it can actually make a change in anyone who gives it a chance.I loved it and I can see that I am starting to change (from small things like going down on a steep hill to skydiving). Thanks Brian for a great book!

Not at all what I was expecting.
I started off liking this but quickly changed my tune. First off, this is not a skydiving book like some would lead to believe. What I didn't like is that this is mostly a philosophical book where the author rants on and on about philosophical fear and his own theories on how to conquer them. It has a little bit of a hippie "zen" flavor to it as well. (positive thought generates positive energy type of BS) A major concept in the book is clearing your mind to a meditative state where you think and feel nothing, hence removing the fear. Most of us experiencing fear as a result of doing some dangerous or extreme activity would like to actually remember and enjoy the activity rather than be oblivious to it simply to remove our fears. That's why we're doing it in the first place! The worse part is as the book progresses, he ends up repeating the same concepts over and over and over and over and over... (get the point?) Very difficult to finish.

Hydroxychloroquine AND Zinc!
The chapter about Hydroxychloroquine as an effective early treatment for covid-19 doesn't mention that Hydroxychloroquine works even better when used together with zinc. Information about the supplement Quercetine, which is also an ionophore which facilitates the transport of zinc across cell membranes, has also been omitted. It's no secret that zinc has anti-viral proporties, hence the importance of using it together with Hydroxychloroquine (the late dr. Zelenko referred to Hydroxychloroquine as being the gun and zinc being the bullet). All this can easily be confirmed by a simple search through the internet - even a google search will not completely obscure these facts.

Starting skydiving and controling the fear
Ok got recommended the book to have a read before starting skydiving. Its a quite simle approach but not an approach I was using before when racing motorbikes , I would try and get the fear going to kick of the adrenaline. This works by relaxing .... focusing on what you are doing and going with the flow. It has done a brilliant job in keeping me calm on the drive to the DZ before jumping and the plane ride to altidude. Approach the door focused on exactly what I am going to do :-)Its in my skydive back and often go back and catch up on points. Check out the author on youtube as a lot os useful stuff on there and will give you a flavor of what he does :-)
