ElencoDiode 80 Piece Kit

The Elenco Diode 80 Piece Kit is worth the money I paid to have an assortment of diodes for experimentation projects. I have examined the contents and noticed a note explaining some marking clairifications for Bag 6 and bag 7, which would help if you just opened the bags and found the diodes were not what you expected to find. Each bag is labeled and states which type of diode is contained therin. The inside box has a label listing from bag 1 to 20 what contents ar in each bag and how many pieces of each are contained also. This product is a nice addition to an electrical project - experimenter's test bench. The Elenco line of Resistor, Capacitor and LED assortment kits are also advertized on the outside of the box this kit comes in. I recommended this product.

I purchased the Elenco Diode 80 Piece Kit for my husband who enjoy DIY circuitry projects. The kit comes packaged in a cardboard box, it contains 20 various silicon, zener, germanium, bridge, and switching diodes which are each packaged in a plastic bag that has a label with a number that you can refer to an included chart to find the diode you are looking for. The label also indicates what the diode is as well.The diodes are great quality with excellent leads, none were bent or damaged.Excellent assortment kit for DIY projects or those just starting out and not wanting to invest a large amount of money and I highly recommend it.

These seemed like they were just bagged and thrown into a box, I have purchased Joe Knows Electronics and was much more satisfied.. What I did not like was they labeled each bag as Bag# 1 - n, then you had to figure out which bag had what part, actually this one was not as bad. I purchase the Capacitor kit (Worst nothing labeled, now I have to check all the caps for what is what). I am sure the parts are good (hopefully) some caps barely meet the specs.I think I will stick to the Joe Knows Electronics, they seem to take more care in the packaging which I am willing to pay for.

Diodes -- do you need diodes???If you're just futzing around with diodes and that kind of stuff - this is a really affordable source of diodes for experiments. There's dupes - so you might just blow up a few, but there's probably another in the box. A great way to learn.

I really like this diode Kit but I hate the box. When you pick it up everything falls out.

This Diode Kit is amazing. I can easily see myself not having to purchase diodes for a considerable amount of time. The fact that these are pre-labeled and orginised is worth the purchase alone because it saves you so much time. There's not a lot to say about the product as it is just diodes, but this kit is one purchase that is hard to regret or find anything realisitcally wrong with the product. It's just a damn good kit. Highly recommended.

I bought this along with a bunch of other Elenco component kits and they all have a nice array of parts. Very nice if you're starting off and need a basic kit of components in a wide variety. Once these run out I will definitely buy some more.

Wide assortment. Arrived quickly. Good sampling of parts, if you're flexible. Too many different diodes produced to fully represent them in one kit.

Every type of diode a beginner could possibly want in neatly labeled bags with a cool, retro-looking box. Definitely worth buying.

I haven't actually gotten around to doing anything with these yet but I couldn't be any happier with the variety and quality. The packaging is very nice and all of the diodes come in small zip-top bags with labels, The box has a list of what all of the components are and which bags they are in. The organization is great. This is the perfect diode starter kit for those that are into electronics as a hobby. The quantity of each type of diode is not many (ranging from 2 to 5 depending on which one) so this isn't a good option if you have plans to do anything that requires a lot of one type.I also purchased the resistor kit and the capacitor kit from the same company and they are equally good.
