I bought these for crimping aluminium sleeves on a wire trellis I was building in the garden (which it worked well for), but the really standout feature is the wire cutter function. It cleanly and relatively easily cut through vinyl coated 7x7/2cm wire, doing a much better job than the purpose-built small wire cutters that I had on hand.

Probably the best wire stripper I have ever used. As always, the amazing AMAZON delivery service got them to me on time – well done! These KAIWEETS Wire Strippers very, very good at their primary function of stripping the insulation off electrical wires and cables. There are hundreds of wire strippers to choose from – most involve a hit and miss exercise of picking the correct hole size for the wire you want to strip. To strip say the outer insulation from a multi-core cable involves one size and then to strip the inner concoctors involves selecting yet another hole size! An error prone pain! Within the range of operation (AWG 10 – 22), they perform exceedingly well in that without any re-adjustment they can strip the out sheath and then strip the inner conductors without any intermediate adjustment. I managed to get excellent results on even thinner wires. Comfortable and easy to use – with just one very small personal niggle; I am left-handed and as they feed from the left, they must be used in the right hand! No big deal, I have long become accustomed to the trials and tribulations of being left-handed in a right-handed world – we adjust! At the beginning of this review, I mentioned that they were very good at their primary function – stripping wires. As they are marketed as “ 3 in 1” I found that the other two functions seem to be more of a marketing ploy rather that real useful additions Yes, the wire cutter does cut wire very well but a bit awkwardly. I don’t think you will be in any hurry to bin your old side cutters any time soon! The same is true of the terminal crimper. Yes, it can crimp terminals but again it is awkward and, in my opinion, lacks sufficient leverage to make a good crimp. Forgetting these two shortcomings for a moment, when you buy this item you get a damned good wire stripper – the cutter and the crimper are just freebie marketing gimmicks. Would I buy this again? I doubt that I will never have the need to as it is built like the proverbial battleship but, If mine was lost or stolen, then for sure I would buy it again. Would I recommend it to friends and family? A very loud YES!

Very good and easy to use

Wow! These are excellent and so useful to have in the tool bag. As soon as I opened the package I was really impressed by the quality of the materials used and the overall construction. Couldn't wait to try them so grabbed a length of UK mains socket twin and earth and gave them a go. Straight out of the package with no adjustment necessary, one 'click' and the outer sheath was stripped quicker, neater and easier than I've ever managed with a knife. Nice! Laid the inner cables into the grippy blade bit and pulled the trigger again - WOW! Inner cables stripped to perfection. Tried the blade for cutting a full bit of twin and earth next - no problem, straight through it nice and neat. How on earth did I ever manage to sort electrics out without these? This is a super easy 5 stars from me and I've only had them 20 minutes! These are going to save me so much time and hassle with the sockets I've got to rewire.

They are ok. I was expecting better to be honest after the reviews but they are just ok. For 1/2 the price of the Stanley I’ll keep for now. The strip lengths in inches is confusing, but seems they all are and the quality of the cut ok but not great on the outers. The use of the dial is confusing and explained nowhere and the length stop is very fragile.
