Note: The only reason for giving 1 star to these bulbs is because they are about 5mm longer than the normal (one in my fixture, that was previous technology, non-led, probably halogen or something), bulb. I did install the bulb without being able to close the fixture ( probably a deficient design in the fixture, in hindsight anyway, since they did not have led bulbs back then they did not need to overdesign for longer bulbs), just to check it. Anyway, it did work: the light was no less than previous bulb, and of similar quality, as far as I could tell, and it dimmed (old dimmer technology, for incandescent bulbs). Only difference was that it did not go out on the smallest setting of the dimer, whereas older bulb did. I actually prefer it this way because if you want to make it go out, need to turn it off, not just tweak it down. But it was faint enough that if you want less light than that, you basically need a night light.Updated 1/6/16: From 1 star to 4 stars. I received an email from the seller, saying that the height of the bulb is listed on the website, and that one star is too harsh of a rating, since everything else seemed fine. This is hard to disagree with, since I checked and the specification for height does exist. I basically flagged it with 1 star for other people to notice the issue. I was not thinking that this rating may be "tanking" the overall status for this product. So I decided to change it from 1 star to 4 star. This probably will make it stand out less for people trying to decide if this bulb will work for them. But the two objectives require opposite action, which is not possible. So I will achieve one objective, but not the other.What I have learned from this experience is that I need to check the description below, in this case in the "technical details", and not simply take the type of the bulb, "GU10", as a sign it will work for replacing my "GU10" bulb.

I have been trying various LED replacements for halogens over the past five years or so. This is the best one I've found yet. Most LEDs have a very narrow beam, creating a tight spotlight effect. Most also have a very cool color temperature. Real halogens have a very warm color temperature, usually 2700K at full brightness, but when dimmed they get even warmer. Additionally, they have a quite wide spread. These Golden Sun lights have a nice wide beam (claimed at 90°, but I suspect that's high) and have a great color temperature, indistinguishable from halogen at full brightness (though as mentioned, halogens get even warmer when dimmed). Bottom line: these LEDs behave the most like regular halogens so far.

So far it's great, hard to find one that has good spread and is dimmable. Other ones were 40 degree but I needed something with better coverage and this was 90 degree spread.Will update if this last long before it quits on me.

The light from these are fantastic. They are a little longer than the bulbs I was replacing forcing McGiver, but I dont' fault the product for that. The size posted was the size received. I had just incorrectly assumed that all GU10/MR16 had a fixed length.

Tried two dimmer switches, neither worked with this bulb.

Didn’t last for the expected life time.

The performance of these lights is simply amazing
