Common Laboratory Tests Used by TCM Practitioners

I was on the fence about buying this book. I have a basic understanding of reading and interpreting blood labs. I was unsure if this book would be too elementary for me or not. I am glad that I bought it. It is organized in a way that is very easy to understand. It reads well, is full of very relevant information for my practice and it will definitely help me know when to order tests for properly prescribing nutritional supplements as well as for making better, targeted referrals. You could learn all of this information from other sources, I'm sure... but this book puts it all in one place and makes it easy. For the price... well worth it. I especially like the case studies that help you think and apply it to clinical application. A+

This is a concise and factual book which gives a small introductory passage on the physiology of the organ system involved or describes what physiology is involved with the pathology that is requiring lab test results. It's not over involved, and is clear with the information that is being delivered so that practitioners of different modalities who only have a basic understanding of lab work and testing are able to understand it easily. A very informative book that is correct in its view about enhancing one's diagnosis with the advancement of lab test results.

This book is a great reference; kind of the Cliff Notes of common lab tests. I would really like to see the same authors do a more in depth and broader book; somewhere between this one and a text book. Even this one could use a touch more detail, which is why 4 not 5 stars. But it is easy to read and understand.

This handy little book is all you need! I am so happy that I can read my own CBC's and finally understand what it all means now! Dr. Banerjee makes the information so easy to understand when once it seemed so foreign!!! A must for any medical school student whether Western or Eastern!
