Update: BlackboxMyCar has acknowledged the faulty cable and has shipped me a new cable. Thank you Grayson for your help with this issue. Will update my rating for their quick response. Cigarette Socket Input Cable (12V Power Cable) that it comes with is defective and cheaply made. It Overheats quickly and it will stop charging the PowerCell 8 Battery. The cable stopped working and is completely dead. Should have listened to the other reviews about the faulty 12v power cable it comes with. Very disappointed that BlackboxMyCar will still sell this product with this faulty plug knowing the complaints.

Not worth the $400 dollars for something that's made from cheap materials the charging port came defective I tried contacting the manufacturer and I have to wait 3days for someone to reply just to tell me the warranty didn't cover that specific part which is crazy because is where the battery gets the power. Until other agent told me they could do it but first I have to fill a RMA FORM send the part wait 3 to 4 days more and they are gonna get back to you. For something they can easily sent that part without going to all this trouble I'm a busy person so I dont have time to be dealing with all that for a $10 replacement part. Crazy but they easily take the money 😡😡😡

It charges good and it holds its weight in power, but the fact that it doesn't easily allow an additional camera hookup, nor does it have extras like setting a schedule or timer for power output makes it a blah-necessity. Like, the engineers were definitely thinking, just definitely not forward-thinking.

For the price it's not worth the money. I have a 3 channel dash cam plugged into this battery and from fully charged it only lasts about 10 hours before it dies. Just buy a cheap dash cam battery they all will last about the same.

I have Bought this battery about a month ago and i like it because it's charge faster but make sure if you want it to charge faster then you have to hardware it. My 3 Chanel Dash Cam Runs About 17 hour in Parking Monitoring mode. It's worke we'll. Highly Recommend.

I brought this for my dash cam for parking mode but the first unit I got was dead on arrival. I proceeded to contact their support email to see if it was something that i did wrong. I even follow the step they have on their website for both hard wire and for the cigarette 12v car charger, but nothing work. On the website it would take them 1 to 2 day to get back, but 1 week later still no contact. I then made the decision to contact amazon for a replacement thinking i just got a bad unit. New one came in but the same thing happen, so i'm just retuning it. waste of my time 2 weeks for something that doesn't work and customer support that doesn't do anything like their product

I am a full time rideshare driver. The powercell has been performing exceptionally and brings peace of mind for my vehicle security.
