This PIR is the BEST that I have found for outdoor use. It is used as mainly an annunciator to alert me of wanted and unwanted guests. It has a wall wart power supply and sonalert wired to its internal contacts. I have used this setup for several months and have had ZERO false alarms due to sunlight as is the case for cheaper units. The range is every bit of 80 feet which is incredible!! The narrow field of view is great because it yields a defined coverage area. I will purchase/continue to purchase this item.
