Yucatan Peninsula: Riviera Maya Map [Mexico] (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3105)

If you are planning to drive in the Yucatan - and even if you have GPS - your stress will go waaaay down with this map at your disposal. It is a vacation essential for we north-of-the-border dwellers.

We bought this mostly because we wanted to have a decent paper map of the area beyond the coast highway, and knew our Mexican rental car would not have GPS. Being lost in a foreign country is not fun. I figured cell reception might be iffy when outside of the PDC/Tulum/Cancun area. We didn't end up needing the map, as cell signal for directions and such worked fine in Coba, which was the only ruin we made it to besides Tulum (which is in town). I'll keep it in case we make it back to visit others.

Great sturdy & attractive map. Loved opening & looking at it. But is more for nature lovers & not for tourists or visitors trying to explore resorts or businesses. We weren’t able to locate our beach or resort. Still a Very Nice map!

This is a good map that shows some of the attractions on one side and a detailed map of the Yucatan peninsula on the other. The material the map is made of is AWESOME. It doesn't crease, tear and it's waterproof. It's easy to fold up and store in the smallest places. This thing is going to last forever.

This map does not include all of the Yucatan. The southern portion is just not there. Nothing south of the top 2/3rds of Sian Ka'an?..! Campeche is included but nothing south of it. We bought this to plan a road trip and it is inadequate because it is incomplete. Really?? Over 150 kilometers of the southern most Yucatan Peninsula missing just not there. Not acceptable. The attached image shows what is absent.

It’s a great map and includes loads of information. I just wish it covered more of the Peninsula. It cuts off quite a bit of the southern portion.

Love this product’s quality! I plan to order more from them for other area’s I’m traveling to. I highly recommend this product.

I used this map on a two week driving vacation through the Yucatan. It wasn't a replacement for my GPS but it was extremely helpful in navigating between major points of interest. It was also helpful because it showed the location of ruins, many of which we decided to visit because they were on the map. It may be missing fine detail and is not helpful for navigation in cities but it was met our needs. It is made from very durable paper that withstood the many abuses inflicted upon it, including spilled water and footprints from sandy shoes, during the road trip. I would recommend this map for anyone visiting the area.

Very useful and accurate map.

This map is not of the entire peninsula of Yucatan. It does not cover Calakmul, Bakalar or Chetumal. I bought it for my trip to Calakmul and was greatly disappointed.
