These are definitely a cheaper set and made with kids in mind to learn with. That being said we use them as our "Shorty" Sticks. They are super light and the tips are flat not rounded, but they serve their purpose. If you could get them in different weights that would be wonderful but as it stands I would think they're maybe a 14-16oz stick. One of ours did have a small split in it but it doesn't affect the playability. I'll try to add some pictures.

I’m giving these 5 stars because they were exactly as described. However due to the wooden tips they do not grip the cue ball at all. I simply replaced the wooden tips with leather ones and now they’re perfect. THANK YOU!
