Fits an old Breckwell...
This fit our 2005ish Breckwell Sonora P23FS (1 rpm motor) stove. It has a hole for a cotter pin, not a set screw. It was less than half the price a store nearby quoted me on the same kind of part, and they would have needed to order it anyway. It took less than 5 minutes to install, but we are pretty handy with the stove at this point. Also, our poor old motor must have been on the outs for years, because we immediately noticed a huge improvement in function of the stove. The motor is absolutely silent, so quiet compared with the ancient old motor that we actually thought it wasn't turning, but it was. I was tempted to pay the $65 3 day guaranteed shipping, but I'm glad I did not because it came that day anyway.

Please read before buying.
My original motor failed after 15 years of service. It is a Breckwell p24 insert. The unit is recessed into my fireplace so it had to be pulled out to access the auger motor. To do that I had to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the stove. The stove is quite heavy so it took some effort to pull it out. What no one mentions is that a bracket is used to hold the auger motor in place. I had to remove two nuts to free up the motor. Another trouble point is the hitch pin holding the motor to the auger is buried deep in the unit. I was glad that I have a offset long needle nose pliers to reach the pin. The last thing that gave me trouble was the auger and the motor had rusted together. I had to use a ball peen hammer and punch to break apart the two items. After that the motor fitted smoothly onto the auger and I was back in business. The motor is great. What nobody mentions is the labor to install the unit can be a pain if you are not handy with tools or do not have the tools.

Solved my auger problem on my breckwell p22
Solved my problem of the auger motor shutting down. The only thing is the pin hole is too small and I had to buy a new smaller pin, should have been included. I used the original wire to mate up the wiring on the new motor. I did replace all three sensors an that didn't work the auger still shut down after a few minutes.

WONDERFUL! Ordered late
WONDERFUL! Ordered late, in the middle of a storm on a Sunday, from WI to deliver here in California... Might I add with storms continuing throughout the delivery route. It was projected up to a nine day del. So so HAPPY TO SEE by 1 pm. on the fourth day. As part was complete (others that offered same part but weren't complete with connectors or other components) it was installed in 15 min! We're excited to enjoy the continuing inaugural celebrations as the storms rolling about, All while warm and delighted! Thank you for the reliable service, and parts with rapid delivery ~

Great motor! Great price!
Received quickly. Great price. Slightly larger than the original motor but it fits fine. No more noise than the original either. So far has been working great! Would definitely purchase from them again should I need another...hopefully not anytime soon though.
