DO NOT BUY unless it is sub $75
Very chintzy. I have been looking for a device with this functionality for years, but hold out for a better one.For the price, I expect to see a bit better fit and finish on such a basic unit.-touchscreen is ok, but more akin to the gps units of mid 2000's and not modern smartphones.-wireless Android Auto works good, but cannot connect Bluetooth directly to car's head unit-would be nice to see cables come out a recessed area on back and not the side-usb and sd storage has no file system, media must be played in alphabetical order, resets when car turns off-screen is bright, but has ghosts or burn-in-built in speaker is quiet, but as expected-aux on unit I received was distortedBottom line: Works just fine as a basic stand alone wireless Android Auto screen with some other basic functionality, but outrageously overpriced for the quality.

Consider exactly what you want before buying
If all you want is apple car play, then this works fine. Has trouble sometimes connecting to phone wirelessly, but overall not terrible. I think the price is a little too high when considering the cheap feel, limited features and no backup camera connection. I did the research ahead of time and knew what I was getting. Therefore, I was not upset with this at all. This is what what I wanted. Cheaper and easier than installing a new stereo just for car play.

Great, if you don’t wear sunglasses!
I had a lot of hope for this unit to add Car Play to my vehicle at a reasonable price. The unit was very easy to setup and to get my phone connected. The biggest issue I had with this screen is it can’t be used while wearing polarized sunglasses (screen appears black though sunglasses). There were some minor quirks that I could have lived with, but the inability to use this in the daytime is why I ultimately returned the unit.

Bargain CarPlay
Fits my needs perfectly. Tried to be a bit creative with it and it came out well lol. I’ll advise to use aux port for the audio as the FM transmitter has a constant ”hissssss” sound in the background But all in all , proper value for money !

Simpler alternative to a new car stereo
My wife and I both have cars that lack CarPlay and have been ruined by rental cars WITH CarPlay making us realize how awesome it can be. Requested this for my wife’s ancient 2010 Kia Soul that doesn’t even let you stream music wirelessly over Bluetooth (phone calls only; it’s THAT old). We’re planning on trading that car in towards a newer car eventually and don’t want to buy an expensive new car stereo. This product seems like a good compromise if it can do what it claims it can do. And it does!Really need to talk about the setup process because there are some things I found mildly frustrating and unintuitive.Make sure both WiFi and Bluetooth (BT) are turned on for setup and use of this touchscreen.Initial connection was goofy because the device HIDES its BT name by default. Instead of connecting the iPhone to the touchscreen, connect the touchscreen to the iPhone (find your phone in the list of devices that the touchscreen sees). That seemed to work better (you can also un-hide the BT name in the touchscreen’s settings).Once connected via BT, your iPhone should establish a WiFi connection to the touchscreen and you’re good to go. Next time you start up the car, ignore the touchscreen and it’ll automatically connect and establish the wireless CarPlay connection within a minute. For the audio connection, I chose the included 3.5mm audio cable into the car’s Aux input. It’s the most reliable and the highest quality. Didn’t even try the FM streaming option because that is always worse quality and usually has a low level hiss that would annoy me.Supported CarPlay apps work pretty seamlessly. Animations in maps etc run fairly smoothly. The screen isn’t as nice as the iPhone’s but it’s responsive to touch and works well enough for what you need to do while driving.Calls come through loudly and the integrated mic sounds decent / loud enough, according to my wife who I called through it.There are some things that didn’t work out as great, not all of which are the fault of the unit.Something I noticed with both my iPhone (iOS 15.1) and my wife’s (iOS 14.8) is the navigation volume levels seemed erratic / super low. If we’re listening to music or a podcast and a navigation turn announcement is made, the music volume dips as expected but the announcement is whisper quiet. It’s not usable. The fix on integrated CarPlay systems is usually to increase the volume while it’s talking or announcing the next turn etc. to set / reset that announcement volume. But there’s no physical button on the touchscreen (and the iPhone volume buttons are disabled during CarPlay) so.. I dove into the settings.Try the following:Start at Car Home - (scroll right) Settings - (scroll down) - Factory (passcode default is 123456) - Settings - Volume - Stream Volume - (scroll down) CarPlay Media - 50.Leave other CarPlay levels at 102. Done.Maps volume and announcements should now be at acceptable levels, or you can tweak to your preference.Hope that helps someone, took me a while to figure it out!Physically, no complaints with the touchscreen or its ports (was even able to cable manage it half decently) but, as others have mentioned, the screen looks weird when viewed through polarized lenses / sunglasses. I have some pretty nice driving sunglasses that apparently are NOT polarized, so didn’t notice this issue. However, upon reviewing some polarized sunglasses and testing them with this screen, it looks VERY washed out and harder to read. This is a shame because, ordinarily, the screen looks bright and is very easy to read. Not an issue for me but may be to some. Also, the accessories aren’t stellar. The 12v socket adapter is too chubby and I felt like it / my car’s 12v outlet might break when inserting it. It goes in and it’s working but it feels cheap and is too wide. The suction arm that holds the touchscreen attached to the window securely and I even have it partly resting its weight on the dash (nice and close to the driver) but.. where the mount attaches to the suction cup is loose and rotates, so even with everything tightened fully it can still move slightly. Again.. feels cheap.Value wise.. this is close to where I’d expect it but maybe closer to the $200 mark would sweeten the deal (or else improve the 12v charging adapter and mount).Overall I’m really impressed with how well this works and now I’m jealous that my wife gets to enjoy CarPlay in her car while me, the huge nerd, makes do with boring Bluetooth streaming in my 2017 Camry.4 stars because it’s not perfect but it does the job very well after tweaking the settings.
