I found this stand to be sturdy and not prone to tipping over. It also holds the knives that I use the most and this freed some much needed space in my drawers. It doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter top and I can set it where it's the most accessible to me when I'm cooking and move it away when I'm done.I also find it quite nice looking, all in all it's good enough and does exactly what I wanted it to do.

We had a horizontally-oriented knife block taking up precious counter space. Our original plan was to mount magnetic knife bars but this magnetic knife block gave us a more elegant solution. We have more knives than the typical knife bar holds so we would have needed two. Because the block is double-sided, one block holds all of our knives. We have a drywall above 12" tile backsplash. We tried buying different knife bars but none of them were thick enough to easily clear the knife handles from hitting the tile when we grabbed them. The block eliminated that issue. Finally, it's portable so when we use our peninsula for food prep instead of our regular counters, it's easy to bring the knives with us. All that, plus the block itself looks beautiful. Magnet is nice and strong.

Just what I was looking for! I only use 3-4 knives and of those I probably use a kitchen knife 85% of the time. I like trying/buying different brands of knives and have a few relatively expensive ones I didn’t want to have the edges banging around in a drawer or to see if they’d fit in a random block. This is perfect....a good knife is like art to me and this showcases them nicely. The bamboo is really good quality and is sturdy. The magnet is strong and will hold knives in place nicely to as short as a steak knife. A pairing knife might be too short to not want to “tip over”. You can easily fit 4 chef knives on the block. Plenty of space for me but perhaps not for others?For those that said the block tips over when u pull a knife off....ugh!. Yes, it is true....if u grab a knife from the block towards you it will push the block over with it - - This is probably true of anything which has a surface area greater than a utility knife. The only way they could have designed this to not tip over and still posses a magnet strong enough would be to have some ugly looking feet out in front of the block. Unless u have this block under a cabinet all u have to do is pull up as opposed to towards, or god forbid hold the block while u pull towards....and really this just needs to be done for something larger than a utility product.

This works EXACTLY as promised! It's sleek and fits perfectly on the kitchen counter. We cook daily and LOVE having the knives front and center! Would recommend!

Perfect for limited counter space. I used to keep my knives in the drawer and they’d get all dinged up. You could see wear the edges were chipped and burred. Now I keep them safely on my counter and haven’t had any blade edge issues. The magnet is strong enough to hold up my meat cleaver and large chef knife. Now I only wish they made them even longer to hold even more of my knives.The finish on the knife holder is very clean and elegant. The base is solid and sturdy and I’ve never felt that the weight of my knives would be too much. It’s never been knocked over and sits solidly on my counter. Great product.To the makers/seller: can you make one that is wider and holds more knives? I’d scoop that up in an instant.

I m so happy that I bought this knife block. I have 2 sets of Twin Henckels including a big cleaver. They use a fair amount of counter space so when I saw this type of block was available I researched the reviews. I wanted to free up counter space but I don’t like the magnetic holders that hang on the wall or backsplash. This block can be placed anywhere and knives can go on both sides. Also I like the piece of metal showing on the bottom. The bamboo blends well with my light oak cabinets. The magnet is super strong and stretches edge to edge. I fit all of my knives on it except for a few of the steak knives which are really not as high quality as the rest of the set. I stashed the scissors and honing steel in the drawers. I just love the new less cluttered look. Had to deduct a star because the metal base on the backside has 2 deep gouges, maybe machine marks. They’re small but I wouldn’t want to look at them everyday. I didn’t feel like going to the trouble of exchanging it. If those marks were on the front I would definitely return it. I’m very disappointed when I see a defect in a product I’ve purchased but I’m glad I can file this one under “out of sight, out of mind”.

This gives my kitchen a more modern clean look. I love it!

I have limited space in my kitchen because I live in a smaller apartment, so I was storing my knives in a drawer, which is not the best way to store them because they get dulled kicking around in a drawer. I also didn't want to buy a block because they take up a lot of space. This option is the happy medium. It fits great on the narrow counter next to my stove, making my knives handy when I'm cooking, and it looks cool and helps to keep my good knives sharp. The construction is very sturdy and solid, and it's at a great price point. It's a great tool to keep your good cooking knives sharp and safe from damage.
