WOW this book has everything you could ever need from a book.Detective Kathleen Kelly was trying to solve a vile crime. How it hadn't been reported that it was a serial killer she would never know. It was like a animal had gone mad and was attacking people and Kathleen was working her butt off trying to find who was doing this.Then she meet a guy who tell her he is a cop and there is a weird chemistry between them, Kathleen finds herself doing something she hasn't done in so long. She leaves with him and has the most amazing night but when she looks for him in the cop data base he is no where to be seen. He lied to her.Agent Maximillian Cordero was after a fugitive, a very evil man when he comes across a scent in the area. His mate. Max is a wolf shifter The Wolfen. And he was destined for great things. Taking over from his father to be the Alpha of the pack but he had decided to follow his dreams and protect people. A nd being a agent was everything. But he knew the pack didnt understand why he walked away from his pack. But his father saw so much he had secret powers and he knew that he would know he had found his mate. But when Max meet Kathleen he was blown away. This woman was amazing but she needed training to be the queen he needed. Kathleen was strong minded and a wild card. when he is then taken off his case to help with the case of this serial killer and partnered with Kathleen all cards were off the table....What a read I couldnt put it down!!!!!! The chemistry and passion between theses will burn up your kindle. woooohoooo you may need a cold shower. But I liked they way they worked together. Let’s be honest, Piper Stone is an amazing author and her books are hard to put down once you turn the first page and this is no exceptionI enjoyed this. I so love this author, if you want a really great read then you cannot afford not to have any in your Kindle library. The Wolfen, powerful, feared predators, that is the legend. I never do spoilers as I so hate them, takes all the fun out of the read in my opinion, but if you want a really awesome read that will keep you going from page 1 to the end, then this is the book for you, sex and spankings, shifter, yep as I said awesome read. I don't think I have read a bad book from this author and what an imagination and a way with words she has. This story had me gripped from the very beginning. A really good intriguing story which sent me down the wrong road, thinking of who could do the the terrible killings. Plenty of hearts in the mouth reading some of the story. Maximilion's character is pure alpha male which brings with it a fully on sexy beast. Kathleen is his match in all things and was so glad that she had a brain and a strong character. A superbly constructed story which kept me enthralled until the very end. This was a brilliant paranormal murder mystery Romance! Action packed, angst filled and oh so very hot.

As with all Piper Stone's books, the women are strong and the men are dominant. I can never turn down a new book of hers. This is a great book as well. Kathleen as a Detective and Max as an ATF Agent, they butt heads immediately, but Max is not what he seems. I love the story surrounding the legends and the link with the murders they investigate. I was gripped to see the mystery unravel who was the baddie. Also the love interests between the characters. Storyline was super throughout I recieved a free copy and this is my honest review
