Volume of CHIME and COUNT DOWN a problem that needs correcting to get a higher rating.
I originally purchased an ISmart Cube , 5 sensors, remote siren and 1 camera 3years ago. The set up was easy, fast and the App worked fine. I had no real problems over the three years accept for occasionally going off line and then back on but that was really an internet problem. A few weeks ago the CUBE stopped working. I tried everything to reset and talked by Email with their support which basically told me to do the things I had already done. Finally I decided the CUBE had been hit by a power surge since my cable modem was starting to malfunction.I ordered a new CUBE ( you can not just order the CUBE but have to order a Starter Kit which included a couple sensor and a motion detector......sort of irrating since I did not need the other items in the kit). Installed the new CUBE and re installed all sensors, motion detectors, remote siren and camera with no problem. When I opened any door or activated any sensor, the CHIME that happens each time a sensor is opened was so LOW that I could stand 2 feet away from the CUBE or the remote siren and could hardly hear the chime. I had the same problem for the COUNT DOWN when you activate or ARM the alarm. I tried closing all the setting for the siren, alarm count down, re booted the CUBE and then reset the options for sound. I spent serval hours trying different options with no success. I went on line and found this was a problem that other were having and it had been known to ISMART for over a year. They said they were working on a fix. Obviously ISMART had not fixed the fix as of this date. I then contacted ISMART support by email, they responded quickly with an procedure outline to follow which required you to do a lot of resetting of the options, connecting and disconnecting the router, modem, and CUBA. I followed the outline a dozen times with no success. Now I was totally frustrated and decided the CUBE was defective, returned the kit to Amazon and a replacement kit was sent to me in two days. Amazon did not hesitate in replacing. With great expectations I installed the NEW SECOND CUBE. connected everything and opened the door to hear the CHIME. Then I armed the system to hear the count down. WHAT!!! the sound was just as low as the other CUBE. I did all the suggest outline again NO CHANE IN THE SOUND LEVEL. Now just to make sure I had to other people listen to the chime and count down. They agreed with me that you could not hear it from a distance of 5 feet. How I don't know what the problem is or why ISMART has not made a fix to the software or if it is a mechanical defect but not having sound on the CHIME and COUNT DOWN defeats one of the main reason for having the system. Notification with a door or window is open by someone. If any one knows how to correct this problem let me know. PLEASEThe system is up and running correctly accept for the extremely low volume on the count down and chime. I would give the system a 4 star if everything worked but now it is worth a 3 at the most and would give it a 2 because of this one problem.

Garbage!!! Total scam!!!
Where to begin with this ridiculous company? How about the fact that they are literally selling this same exact cameras as ”other companies”, only difference is they jack the price up about four times as much LOL their software is absolutely horrible. Their customer service is ridiculous. They’re pretty much failing as a company. Do not buy their products because they’re not going to have a Company to provide any kind of support or update their system very soon with the way they’re going. They are a huge joke. I wasted so much money on these crappy products. They never work. And then when you try and get help from their so-called “customer service” they act like they’re doing you some huge favor. This is no joke what they asked me to do to fix one of their almost $200 camera is that cost only $45 with “other companies” 🤣🤣🤦🏼♀️🙄 It’s like are you kidding me? I have no problems with the exact same camera I purchased from “other companies”, which is on the same exact network. On the same exact phone. They literally ask you to give them a bunch of your private information. Not much of a security company if you ask me 🤣🙄See below: ( this is specifically what they asked for)Can you please download the following application when you are connected to the same network as your iSmartAlarm system to help me analyze what may be causing your problems:Please download the RouteThis Helps app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. When you download the app, open it and enter the iSmartAlarm specific code: "ALRM"Please place your device next to the iSmartAlarm product you are experiencing issues with.Once the scan is complete, please give me the Key code that is displayed after the scan is complete. Can you please provide the following information so that I may be better able to assist you:1.) Camera MAC ID. (Should be on the bottom or back of the camera)2.) Type of smartphone you are using and the version of OS it is running.3.) Make and model of your router.4.) Who is your ISP?5.) How far is the camera from your router?6.) What is the status LED on the front or back of the camera doing?Additionally, can you unplug the camera from the power and then unplug your modem and router from their power for 10-15 seconds, then plug them back in and let them reboot.Once the modem and router have rebooted, plug the camera back in and let it reboot. Once the camera has rebooted, turn the Wi-Fi off on your phone and see if you can get a picture from the camera.

The alarm was not as easy to install
The alarm was not as easy to install. I had to reset the core module and had a difficult time resetting the monitor sensor and key fob. Resetting requires removing the batteries from the devices and that was the difficult part. The battery compartments are screwed with mini screws. The kit doesn't come with the mini screwdriver. I had to go out to buy one and even at that, one of the metal screws was morphed, so I couldn't fully access the batteries for the motion sensor. I was able to loosen one battery and pop it in again, but annoying. I'm going to run into trouble when the batteries die as I have to figure out how to change them without damaging the cover.Anyway, once it was set up, the alarm worked fine. We installed this after we were burglarized. So, this is a good deterrent, however, we were burglarized again. The contact sensors for our back Windows were not triggered, because they broke through the window. The motion sensor that was installed in our hallway triggered and we were notified immediately. I wish the set came with more than one motion sensor. That being said, this only works if the core is active. The burglars disabled the system once our siren (bought separately) went off. Everything is contingent on the core.
