Rollercoaster Read!
Wow!!!I've been greatly anticipating the return of King and the start of the Continuum series and I have not been disappointed!Spoilers ahead, so if you don't want to read the review until you've read the book, you now have ten seconds to stop reading. Everyone else, you can enjoy Jetemy Robinson infommercial =D10...Read Robinson's book Omega, as it sets all of this up. It's not necessary, but it certainly helps.9...Even though Guardian and all following books are stand alone, it also wouldn't hurt to read:8...Prime, Pulse, Instinct and Threshold7...Then the CALLSIGN books - King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight and King 2 (they're novellas, but don't let their size minimise their importance to the lead up.6...Further CALLSIGN books - Deep Blue and King 35...Ragnorak is next.4...Then, next, is Omega3...Like I said, not vital to read these, but it helps...2...Nothing more to add, other than XOM-B is due in April. Can't wait!1...So is Savage!!! Due July!0...Okay. You've been adequately warned. In the first adventure since Alexander/Hercules left King stranded in the ancient past during Omega, King has been living (and dying) in history for 200 years and is self-charged with the rescue and guardianship of Belshazzar, a young acolyte and descendant of Marduk who has been captured by Sereb-Meloch, a corrupt high priest who has the might of the Girtabliblu to command and use. With the assistance of an important historical figure, who instantly garners King's trust, the race to save ancient Earth from the corrupt Sereb-Meloch and his goddess Tiamat commences - without the aide of 21st century weapons and intelligence that King has grown accustomed to.Guardian is jam-packed with adventure, the supernatural and the heart stopping moments that are synonymous with novels penned by Jeremy Robinson. No disappointments between these covers ;)

The king has left the century.
King, Jack Sigler, is in a new environment. He has traveled to the very distant past. The story is set in the Middle East environs around Babylonia. This is the first in a new series from Jeremy Robinson having as its main character one of our favorites from the Chess Team series. It is co-written by J. Kent Holloway. The action starts with a high priest from Babylonia moving through the desert to a mountain top to release two creatures. He has kidnapped the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar and intends to offer the boy as a sacrifice to the creatures. King, using an alias, has infiltrated the mercenary army that the high priest has gather. He is going to rescue the boy. King finds out there is more going on than expected. With the boy’s help and an unexpected help of a very famous historical figure, King fights to save the human race. The story pulls one in with each turn of the page. Ancient myths are brought to life. And through it all, King is still King. The hero of mankind. This is a short story I recommended for those who love Jeremy Robinson’s books. I would also recommend it for any who enjoy action/adventure, myths, and ancient cultures. If you haven’t read any of Jeremy Robinson’s book, this is a great one to start with. Another edition to this series is planned for later this year, so read this one now to be prepared.

MOST DEFINITELY A RE-READ! !
ANOTHER AWESOME NOVELLA FEATURING KING AND HERCULES (WHOM LITERALLY TAKES KING BACK TO THE YEAR 780 B.C. AND LEAVES HIM IN AN UNKNOWN LAND, DEPENDENT UPON HIS WITS, STRENGTHS, COMBAT TALENT AND KINDNESS TO SURVIVE). I BELIEVE HERCULES HAS COUNTLESS SECRETS AND HIDDEN AGENDAS WHICH HE PURPOSELY KEEPS FROM KING - (JACK SIGLER AND THE CHESS TEAM) . . . BUT TO WHAT END ?MAYBE WE WILL LEARN SOME OF THE MYSTERIES AND SECRETS HERCULES HIDES IN FUTURE BOOKS.GOING BACK IN TIME TO SAVE A PRINCE, FACE EVIL ENEMIES, ADD CREEPY, DANGEROUS, EXCELLENTLY CRAFTED CREATURES, MONSTERS, DEMONS, BIBLICAL REFERENCES . . . WHATEVER YOU WISH TO CALL THEM, MAKES "GUARDIAN" A FINE READ.I BELIEVE YOUR BEST BET IS TO START AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CALLSIGN SERIES AND GO FROM THERE. TAKE A LOOK AT MR. ROBINSON'S AND/OR HOLLOWAY'S PAGES ON AMAZON, AND THE ORDER OF THE BOOKS SHOULD BE THERE.ACTION, KICK - A** CHARACTERS THAT I HAVE WATCHED DEVELOP FROM NEWBIES TO THE WELL-ROUNDED WARRIORS AND ADMIREABLE CHARACTERS FROM THE BEGINNING BOOKS.PERSONAL DESIRES, HONOR, DUTY, KILLER INSTINCTS AND FIGHTING ABILITIES ALWAYS KEEP MY NOSE STUCK INSIDE THESE BOOKS AND NOVELLAS.

Better than expected
I've enjoyed all of the Jack Sigler and Chess Team adventures. The team dynamic among such strong individuals has been the most intriguing aspect of the novels and novellas. So I was very unsure whether I would find Jack on his own as interesting and the whole back in the past device seemed silly. Well, I'm glad I took a chance on Guardian. It was every bit as fun as all of Jeremy Robinson's other novels. I finished in under two days because I could not put it down. Too many other thriller writers write a bit of story to hang around their non-stop action/fight sequences. Robinson propels his characters with plenty of strong storytelling and just the right amount of action. While this certainly can work as a stand alone novel, I'd recommend starting with Prime or one of the other Chess Team novels in order to fully appreciate Jack Sigler in the past. Mr. Robinson, please keep the stories coming!

Jack's back!
I love the concept behind the Continuum novels, our hero Jack Sigler (from the Chess Team novels) is stuck in the past for thousands of years and is still trying to right wrongs and fight monsters along the way. The scope for this series is endless!A great read, full of the action and monsters we expect form this series, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. A very welcome addition to the Chess Team saga.

Brilliant
Typical of Jeremy Robinson. Keeps you on your toes and makes you imagine what comes next. No sleep for me tonight as I am about to order more of his books. He is better than most other authors and I now own all his books.God bless you Jeremy for making an old man (72) happy.

Adventure melding sci-fi and religious history
This book was impossible to resist as I studied the Babylonian Empire as a theologian and just had to read Robinson's take on Tiamat. Fantastic monsters, a rip-roaring pace and some gruesome ways for King to (almost) die. A quick, enjoyable read.
