2 different sized sets; enjoy both
I've purchased multiple sets of varying sizes for these and have had no issues so far. I would highly recommend taking a paper bag and "sanding" these sets down with it before using. It helps remove some of the splinter potential off the first use. My big set came perfect out of the box, and the smaller set had a hint of extra texture that you'd expect from a wooden product. Both sets have "polished" up similar to how wooden climbing holds do over time, but I very much have enjoyed these so far.

Awesome!!
I have multiple grips that I utilize for doing pull ups on a regular basis. I own a set of 2 inch pistons that I have gotten very comfortable with, so I figured that I would give the Power Pistons a shot. Wow..I am humbled to say the least. These things are huge and at this point I can only manage 2 bodyweight pull ups with them. These things are without a doubt, the most difficult grips that I own (even more difficult than my 3 inch. rotating handles). I have my work cut out for me. I plan on using these first for one handed lat pull downs and then I will transition to negative pull ups, as I get more acclimated. I won't stop until I am banging out full reps with them...thanks for a solid product.

No straps
Exactly what I wanted. However, expect it not to come with any straps or rope to put through the eyelit, to mount them on hooks or to have some length added to them

I bought the Large ones first and I have to build up to them so I had to get these. If i had to buy more than 1 set of grips I would have gone the DIY route but lack of free time and eagerness to want to start training again right away helped with my purchase and I am very happy with them. Good quality smooth wood. Use chalk obviously dont listen to those that say these are slippery. Anything without chalk is slippery....

Start small
I use the XL size. Product looks and feels great. No real negative. Unless you have a phenomenal grip- I would suggest starting with the mediums or smaller. Grabbing this cylinder is about the same as grabbing a large coffee thermos. My fingers are still about and inch away from touching while holding these.

Chalk up and get to work!
Got these and cannonball grips with straps and clips few days ago and put both of them to use at the gym right after getting them. Used them with chalk on the hands and had no problems with slipping. A great workout tool for building grip strength!

Great stuff, get the XL!
I got the 2.75 XL, it was exactly what I wanted to train my grip strength. The wood is high quality and very well made. I highly recommend using chalk when practicing on this.
