Yes the charger is a magnet. I've had two of the chargers. The first was a knockoff and the second, made by fitbit, also stopped working within a year. My Fitbit Charge 5 is now going to be trashed as it will not charge. It could be the charger or it could be the device. I don't know.

Dose adapter have a button on top?

It does have a soft-press button that is used to reset the device.

OEM equipment - works great!

Looks like OEM (Fitbit) equipment to me. It's a bit pricier than the others, but I've had major problems in the past where I used a cheaper charger and it completely effed up my last Fitbit. It took me months to get it to synch again. Now I stick with the name brands. Works perfectly.
