My Best Friend, the Billionaire: 1 (The Billionaire Kings) Paperback – 15 Sept. 2021

I mistakenly read book 5 before realising that there were several books in the series, it is perfectly fine to read them as standalone books but now I have read book 1 the characters come to life more. I really enjoyed this book, loved the storyline and the characters and the all important happy ever after, can’t wait to move onto book 2 now

This was a sexy, touching read."I've been thinking about someone else...For a long time now. I can't get her out of my head."Izzy Fitzgerald and Hal King have been friends since they were kids but they never crossed the line. Izzy never thought the gorgeous, girl-magnet Hal would be interested in her, and Hal was warned off Izzy as a teen. Fast forward to the present day and they're both nearly 30. They work together as vets and are the very best of friends. Hal's just broken up with his live-in girlfriend and startles Izzy with a stunning revelation. He's in love with her."I can see I'm going to have to spell things out for you in our relationship. I've loved you for years, you crazy girl."Hal had his work cut out for him convincing Izzy that what he felt for her was not just a passing interest or because he'd never had her before. I found this quite frustrating. There was no one else who knew him as well as she did, and I hurt for Hal that she would think that he was that fleeting or shallow and that he would play with her affections so carelessly. I swooned over Hal. He was gorgeous, tender, patient and so hot! He was incredibly sensitive and I loved his soft, gentle approach towards Izzy. I loved that he was willing to wait and go at her pace. He was a pretty perfect guy! Izzy had image issues stemming, not just from a childhood accident, but also from a past boyfriend. I loved that she let her guard down with Hal but her insecurities completely clouded what she genuinely knew about her best friend. Overall, an enjoyable, very sexy read.

Enjoyed reading this, A nice romance that also dealt with some RL problems .Will definately continue with the series. Good Author

I really enjoyed this book. Interesting characters. I can’t wait to read more about the other people involved at the Ark. Well worth a read.

It was nice, i enjoyed it. There was some drama to make it interesting but not over the top. There was some spice to make it hot. Overall a nice quick easy read.

Another brilliant first book in a series. I have been working my way through all of Serenity's books for a while now. I loved the Three Wise Men series and I think having read them first helps, but is not necessary to enjoy this book. Being the first in the series it had to build not only the main two characters Izzy and Hal, but a fabulous (can't wait to find out about in the future books) family of other characters and location of the stories. My only disappointment is having to wait for book 2, thank goodness it's not too long to wait. Another great read, thank you Serenity.

I have absolutely loved this book, the characters a portrayed fantastically I feel like I really know them, the book pulled me in from start to finish with plenty of action going on. I look forward to reading more by serenity and hopefully i will get to read more about some of the other characters. A job very well done, its been a pleasure to read xxx

Great book. Just as good as their fathers stories. Serenity really knows how to bring romance to the pages. Every book I've read of hers, I love. Good stories, lots of romance and great sex...... can't wait for book 2.

MY BEST FRIEND THE BILLIONAIRE is the first book in a new series so it is a standalone read with a very HEA. Naturally it is set in the lovely New Zealand. OMG I loved this book. Like all her rest, Ms. Woods sucks you right into the story in the first paragraph and you cannot stop until you have finished the book. This series has it all. These adults are the siblings to the King brothers. Of course they are billionaires through family fortunes but they are not the typical billionaire type guys. They don't flaunt their wealth, don't have private jets, etc. They use their money to help others. The King brothers make equipment for children's hospitals. The siblings are using their money to help animals have a better life. This story is about Hal. He is almost 30, a vet, he is part owner in a sanctuary for animals. they take care of and treat abused and abandoned animals as well as family pets. The whole compound is set up to take care of animals on every level. They even have their own hotel. It is definitely a place of paradise for these animals.All the siblings play a role and they all get along and work together. Hal is one terrific hero. I'm sure I am in love!! He is 6'3", big, strong, smart, compassionate and sexy as heck. He is known as The Dog Whisperer as well as a notorious ladies' man. He has had fun growing up and he is not ashamed of his past or make excuses for it. He recently broke up with his latest live-in. She is a vet nurse at the facility. Most of his friends and co-workers don't really like her. He thought that would be the end of it. Silly men, they just don't realize how vicious a woman that thinks she has her hands on a fortune will respond to having all her dreams shot down.Hal and Izzy have been best friends for over 18 years. She knows him better than anyone and knows she can love him in secret but it would never last in real life. After loving her from afar he has had enough and decides to go after her as his forever love and live HEA. Silly man, things are never that easy. He has no idea the secrets that Izzy is hiding and what it will take to get her to give them up.This story is so good. I started reading as soon as it downloaded and I didn't stop reading (except for a couple of very necessary times). There is just no place to stop. The story moves fast and you just have to see what is going to happen next. I LOVED the facility they built and wish every country could have a few billionaires that would go together and take care of all the stray animals. It is just so much fun to think about. Makes you want to hop on a plane, fly to New Zealand, go to this place and ask for a job. It really makes you want to get to know these great people and be a part of the lives. I am hoping that the next book will be about Noah. I want to see him get his HEA. maybe a widow with two or three kids would be nice. He already has lots of dogs he just needs a family to go with them. This is a great story, don't pass it up. Lovely read and I HIGHLY recommend it. I've been reading Serenity's books for a few months and this one had such a compelling storyline that I read way into the night and finished it in a couple of days.I love that the other books' characters and businesses are mentioned and the family keeps growing!

I liked and cared about the two main characters, there was just enough spice. This was a good palate cleanser for me, very sweet, although I felt the ending was a bit abrupt. Overall a good read though!

Izzy & Hal are truly made for each other, this is an amazing heartfelt story with some astonishing harsh truths. I always love it when love prevails. 💜
