Very high quality leather. Feels very premium and strong magnetic clasp securely holds when pencil is attached to iPad. Clasp works equally well when no pencil is present. The only issue to be aware of the stand isn’t very good in portrait orientation. The iPad is centered on the back cover so sits front heavy. It’s happened several times that I’ve propped it up in portrait mode only to fall forward by itself after a few seconds. Almost dropped my iPad from a table top this way. You can help this a bit by biasing the iPad down in the case so that when standing it rests on the edge of the iPad instead of the case. This prevents the front heavy problem mentioned earlier.

Bought 3 of varying types of covers. This is the hands down best. Returned the others. The design and finish superb.

Top notch quality leather and fit. This case exudes luxury. The magnets are plenty strong. Any stronger and it would detract from the functionality. I have yet to have to shake loose and I have tried. Nov 14, 2022.

It was of great quality and a perfect fit

This is an ultra slim light weight cover. The magnets are strong and there is a small magnetic flap that folds over the side from the bottom to the top to add extra security. When the lid is in use and the top is folded back the flap folds back on itself to secure the top so that it isn't flopping around while the ipad is being used. The cover's edges barely extend over the ipad edges so that the ipad controls are easily accessed so edge protection in a drop will be minimal. My immediate impression of the leather (I ordered black) and the way the creases are molded made it look like it isn't leather, but after putting it around the ipad and handling it, the good quality of the leather becomes evident. The only negative besides edge protection is that the stand is only in the landscape orientation, hence a 4 star rating. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with the case.

The overall quality of the look and feel of this case is wonderful! It is a small footprint, with no extra bulk and it is sleek and easy to hold. The magnetic closure keeps everything secure. Regarding the "hold" of the magnet . . . I agree with many of the other reviews in that it just doesn't hold very well. Every time I open the magnetic flap closure and go to open the front cover, the back cover peels off instead. Also, when I am using the iPad and I hold it vertical, it sometimes just falls off the magnetic back. I love the design, so I am living with it, but maybe not much longer. Wish they would fix this.

Fine leather construction with an open-sided design for maximum access to flush mounted top buttons. Unlike earlier designs that had a retaining surround with access holes, this case relies on weak magnets embedded in the back to secure the iPad. It’s fairly easy to dislodge the iPad if you’re careless. Otherwise a thin, light weight leather case that should hold up well.

Up side is nice quality casecand good power shut off.A bit pricey but it's leather and looks good. Hey, still cheaper than Apple with quality fit and finish.
