Hsing-I Journal Compilation Paperback – February 18, 2014

So I got this book because after so many years post publication I felt I had to add it to my collection. This book is a compilation of articles of the journals, so see it as historical info, also, it contains advertisement which was part of the journals. For collection.

This book Mike put together his Journal, basically a Hsing-I magazine. There are 8 issues in this one book, printed in hard copy. He covers chinese medicine, history, tradition and interviews he conducted with Hsing-I masters.In the beginning learning Hsing-I is difficult to understand, what you are to be doing and changes that are happening, my interpretation is always changing and evolving. There are so many ways you can go or take your training. This book gives you the chance to gain insight from several masters. Not just as you would from a martial arts book, but an interview gives you a chance to hear answers to questions.Well worth adding to your library.

As a former student of the Author- publisher. I have long awaited a chance to have the whole set. I have a few original issues that have lasted the years and reread them from time to time. I always find the information valuable.A who's who of early American Xing Yi.

This one exceeded expectations. An eclectic goldmine of information and insights.

I am in the process of reading this book and find that it has lots of little gems written by Hsing - I enthusiasts. These little gems would also be useful to other internal martial artists.

I did not find this compilation very useful. It is a grab-bag of separate articles, relatively superficial, I wouldn't say one could learn anything one did not already know.

Good buy

This is a compilation for anyone who enjoys reading about REAL martial artists, and their various histories. There are also some useful training hints too, peppered amongst the anecdotes.
