This set would make a fantastic gift for an artist of any age. But in reality, that doesn't really matter when you are just using these for fun coloring or sketching in a sketch book that is not going to be exposed to the sunlight all day.>>The box I received was pretty dented up from being mishandled in shipping. This caused the inner box with the sharpeners and pencil extenders to be smashed as well and a few very small dings in the lid of the pencil tin. While these things did not affect the quality or usability of the contents of the set, if you are giving this as a gift to someone who is super critical about everything (you know the folks I am talking about and they are usually related to us lol), then that could pose an issue. I don't believe that damage from shipping would be the normal state of things, but because this is a heavy set, you should be aware that it can happen.Bottom Line:A really good set at a very good price. I would highly recommend this as a gift or a treat for yourself. I could see this set being given along with several additional coloring books - it would be a massive hit with anyone who loves to color!

I was skeptical at 1st to get this as this brand is never heard for me. It arrived just on time and I did try it immediately. These colored pencils are just gorgeous! The variety of colors is beautiful but the thing that impressed me most is the lay down .. vibrant colors. it's smooth and easy to blend and layer. The pencil tips are sturdy so its not frustrating to use unlike other brands that break easily. Sharing this page in my coloring book I'm trying to finish. Wasn't a mistake I picked this. I highly recommend!

Anything I've gotten from shuttle art is satisfactory. These pencils do not break easily at all. Variety amount of colors, and a color chart to swatch it. Unsure of this is softwood or basswood but it's pretty much amazing. Fun to draw with these, I have no problems so far. The money for this is DIRT CHEAP, (personally for me).

Now that I am a SAHM, I’m able to use them more often to do artwork. The amount of colors and the shades are very nice however th lead keeps breaking on the pencils whenever I go to sharpen them. Incredibly disappointing and wasteful since I have to sharpen half of the pencil to be able to use it again. Idk if I got a bad batch or what but I am definitely not purchasing from this brand again. They are fine to color a page in a coloring book but if you are trying to make actual artwork, I’d steer clear.
