Nope!
Hard pass on this book. Started out good, but as soon as "Beau" had his revelation he turned into the bad version on controlling and jealous domineering type with a vulgar mouth. 0 to 60 in on one page and he is supposed to be 43 but acts like a young immature 20 year old with psycho tendencies. I couldn't get past his sudden personality change so I didnt bother finishing the book. I'll be moving on to another author.

Property Of The Mountain Man: Beau And Bonnie
Omg😳😳😳this is the most over the top book I've ever read, it's so deliciously good, never heard of author Gemma Weir before, someone else mentioned the book and I said to myself okay I'll give it a try, well not only do I love the book I actually slow down so it wouldn't finish too fast. This book have everything you would want in a story like this, amazing chemistry, lot of heat🔥🔥, felt like I needed a cigar after reading this book, amazing read indeed.

He loves me, She loves me not
This would’ve gotten 5 stars because I adored the concept of the whole story but Bonnie was a Bone Head!Firstly, I actually took time before this story ended to write my review because I was so annoyed throughout the entire experience. In the beginning, we get a warning to beware if we do not like growly, grumpy, overbearing possessive and jealous alpha males. However, I had quite the opposite experience! I loved the the big burly bear Beau; the male main character. Ironically, we should’ve received a warning on what an annoying and frustratingly clueless dunce we were getting for the main female character. I definitely can’t call her a heroine, even though she had some nice qualities because there is absolutely nothing to sympathize with. She spends a good part of this story wearing her heart on her sleeve because she’s so crazily obsessed with Beau, her childhood crush who she compares Every other man to, which is why she is still a virgin. I mean she’s crushed so hard on him And to finally have your dream come true only to sabotage the man at every angle makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!I mean from the beginning, there are signs that he wants to be with her since he stays with her every morning and closes the shop with her every single night for over a year (I mean duh! 🙄 and then when he finally comes clean with his feelings, I realize he comes on strong but it’s not good enough for her because she feels he’s not being sincere? Even when he admits that he wants forever with her REPEATEDLY and he gets a seal of approval from her own father, it’s still not enough. He buys her a car for goodness sakes and wants her to move in with him. Iget it’s a little much on his part, BUT SHE IS SO UNGRATEFUL, you seriously start to resent her! This has the potential of being one of the best stories I’ve ever read because I loved the main character and his brothers so much. But Bonnie seriously gave me acid reflux. I really started to hate her after a while and even though I realize she’s been immature at 21 years old, no one can be that clueless! Finally, I didn’t like how the ending was so rushed and she made no peace with her own brother, Caleb. There was no reason for their mutual resentment. It was implied but never stated, which was strange. So yeah, this was sad to me because his character did not come across as awful, just confused. Why was there absolutely no resolution between them? You can sense he wanted to explain himself. So, these are the reasons I had to cut my rating. Otherwise, I like the author’s style overall. Hopefully, book 2 in the series won’t be so frustrating. 🤷🏻♀️

Great age gap book
⭐ 3.5 ⭐This is my first book by Gemma Weir. I enjoyed this story very much. The author have an easy way to write. You read it in one sitting. Two things I didn't like in this story:1 - Baby Girl (I was tired to read these two words)2 - The Cover ( I like the colors, but I wouldn't choose this model)The story between Beau and Bonnie was really good to read, but I thought it was a little fast in the beginning.Beau pissed me so much with his caveman attitudes and Bonnie with her kid acts. The way they connect were amazing.I love age gap books so much and this one is very good.

read the warning!
**Spoilers***Let’s start with things I did like…-Beau’s brothers…I am going to give the next book a chance and go from there- the plot of the book-the setting-the writing …I think I only noticedAnd for the things I didn’t….So, to be fair, I missed the warning at the beginning of this book but even going back and realizing the warning was there I don’t think I would have been prepared for just how controlling this guy was going to be.I found this book to be very triggering.I don’t mind reading a book where the guy is super alpha-like …I mean I’ve read and enjoyed some books with pretty dark topics & characters. I think what set those books apart from this one was that (to me) it felt like Bonnie really didn’t really want to be in the relationship. She fought so much and told him no so many times that it didn’t seem like she was really happy with him. It came across like she was unhappy and he wouldn’t take no for an answer. Also anything nice he did for her was purely for his own benefit….most of the things he did was so she wouldn’t be out of his sight …it didn’t come across as caring or him wanting to see her more, it came across as controlling and manipulative and since it didn’t seem like she was interested in being with him it wasn’t something I could really be ok with or overlook or connect to.However, I think what bothered me the most was the reactions of the people around her to his behavior…i.e. the way her father is just ok with Beau’s behavior and totally disregards Bonnies feelings/ reactions to him was just crazy to me..are we supposed to think he’s a horrible father? Because he is if he thinks it’s ok for his daughter to be treated like that but it didn’t feel like that was what the author was trying to convey.I also didn’t like how Beau went from 0-100 overnight..he’s a grown man, it didn’t seem realistic to me. If he had been in his early to mid twenties I would have found it more believable. Or if I had been given some background information explaining why he would be so out of touch with his feelings at 43 I could have gotten on board. Also, for Bonnie to go from being head over heals for him most of her life to fighting him at every turn also didn’t seem to fit with her character…sure she’s young and inexperienced but by all accounts she’s a strong, independent woman with a healthy self esteem/ self image. It felt uncharacteristic of her to automatically think Beau couldn’t be into her for the long haul without any reason as to why. The way she acted came across like she didn’t believe she was good enough for him instead of her just being cautious.

Age gap and Dominant Alpha
This story is pretty interesting, it has a kinda fun hearted vibe. It is pretty much just a romance with very little else in the story... so no action adventure, no accidents, no criminals, just a 40 something guy who suddenly realises he loves a 21 year old girl... she has had a crush on him for years and she's still a virgin... they do have a little of a ex girlfriend issue but it's not really anything major. They explore what I would call very light BDSM but its not really more than fantasies they might explore as it seems they both like it. It was a nice story although just a little boring because there was no girlfriend fighting to get him back since she never had a boyfriend... He doesn't really have to be Alpha because she doesn't really ever get into a situation where he needs to protect her... I found the part at the Ax throwing bar to be fun, the part at Barney's bar was fun... it would have maybe been fun if the two characters had ACTUALLY went on a few dates and maybe if she visited his work.... since he visited her work many many times. I just got a little bored with nothing really keeping them from being happy from the start.

Hard pass
If you like the over use of baby girl, dripping, growling and cooing by a bearded giant otlf a man then you will love this. Writing isnt too bad but my fault for not reading the blurb properly, the ridiculous over the top alphas are not for me at all. Thought this trope ending years ago, apparently not

Deffo Heed the Warnings. Major Alpha Alert.
I love a bit of alpha male as much as the next woman but I think I'd have turned violent on Beau. I spent the entire book swearing at him in my head, fighting with him and mentally beating the carp out of him. Way too much for me. Well written story, though.

Seven brides for seven brothers vibes
Ok so I absolutely love the film seven brides for seven brothers but it's very PG so when I came across this book I had no idea it was going to be like. But it did not dissapoint. It was like the film but had all the dirt the film(old musical I used to watch with my nan!) didn't have! Beau is an absolute nutter, easily the most possessive alpha I've been introduced to thus far in my reading career. The only thing I found disappointing was it's aburpt end. I'm still fivestaring this bad boy though because I'm probably just bitter it ended and that my Beau intake is being cut off. Onwards and upwards, there is a book 2!

What can I say. She's done it again.
I never thought I could love another all consuming hot arsrhole as much as I loved Echo. But here he is. Beau is just... Every woman's sexual fantasy in one person. Bonnie is the perfect match for him. And I can't wait to read what huck and the rest of the brothers get upto next. Bravo Gemma my lovely. You're awesome. And so is this book. MUST READ. HURRY UP AND BUY IT LADIES. P. S I needed to change my underwear more than once through this book lol
