Rancid Tales: My Years in the Food Processing Industry

Some of the stories in here are downright funny - the description of pranks played on overbearing idiots and 'shouty-people' are typical of the stuff that goes on and comes around when least expected.Some - such as the 'You are playing games' story could have been in any industry; others such as the 'time-we-cut-the-safety-lock-off-and-started-the-mixer-just-as-the-lock-owner-climbed-out' are simply scary.Seemingly the book has a US focus with 'Teams' meaning 'American Football' and employees coming in at the weekend to make up for lost time etc.As somebody learning about the food processing industry it did make me wonder whether I really, truly, wanted to work in it - Master's degree + IT skills or not.

What a boring self important tale. People often get the jobs they deserve. Ever wonder if all the people who don't like you have a point?
