Poor finish
The paint coating on the square is very poor, having pooling one one edge which affects the straightness of that edge - I had to sand it off with fine emery paper! Also, the coating is chipped and flaking in a few areas. Tine will tell how badly it is affected by rust.On the positive side, it is cheap, so I suppose I got what I should have expected!

Far from accurate as received and not stainless steel
I didn't expect too much for the price and it is not worth the effort of returning it. Once I had removed the excess paint from the straight edges they were reasonably straight and square. The metric ruler was is at least 1mm out and the imperial ruler close enough for government work. The rulers are painted on rather than etched. Not made from stainless steel as advertised!
