Bought two for my son who is using them in each bedroom to teach his children about nap, quiet time and nighttime schedules. He is very pleased with the clocks and told me they are working really well. Also, if one of my grandchildren is in “time out” they know not to keep calling out “when can I get out?” because he/she knows the clock will let them know. How cool is that? They the different color lights. Easy to operate.

This is a great sleep trainer, for a great price. You can set the night time when they were supposed to go to sleep. You can set the week of time. It’s not very intuitive, but if you follow the instruction manual it is pretty easy. At first we were a bit confused about the extra functions. The alarm was going off in the middle of the day, but we didn’t know how to switch it off, because he kept snoozing. After thoroughly reading the manual, we found out you have to press and hold the button on top, to cancel an alarm. The only thing that is not good about this alarm clock, is the white noise quality of sound. We didn’t buy it for that, and we will not use it. But it’s a terrible speaker. In this time where a hallmark cards can have an amazing song playing, I would assume it’s not too hard to put a reasonable speaker, and have a nice sound quality for your white noise sounds. None of them are very peaceful. So if that’s important to you, you should not buy this clock.But besides that one flaw, it’s a very affordable sleep training clock. I gave my kids the instructions in the evening, and they stayed in bed the next morning! It has been amazing to not have to wake up whenever my toddler does. I’m very happy with the purchase. But because of the struggle to navigate at first, and the poor sound quality I cannot give it a five star rating.

I looked at a lot of different alarm clocks and chose this one. It's simple and perfect for us. I love the built in sound machine and button lock feature.It turns red at the time you set for night. It stays red until 30 minutes before wake-time. It stays yellow for 30 minutes then it turns green. It stays green for an hour.The colored lights are off for the rest of the day.My child happily stays in bed. The clock has supreme authority in her mind. She loves when it turns green. She gets excited every morning.

Great light - exactly as expected. Helped my son sleep in his room by himself for the first time in a long time. Would definitely recommend.

Got as a toddler clock to help teach when ok to get up. It’s too bright and lights up the whole room which made them restless and contributed to more frequent early wakes. Set alarm on it and it is the most annoying loud beep not a good choice for a small child.

Works like a charm! My 3 year old thinks it's so cool that it changes color when it's time to get up. I love the sound machine feature too. The night light has 3 different brightness settings but the colors don't. I do wish it was less bright but it doesn't seem to bother my son.

We've been using these for a couple of years and they're great. Except!There is a period of time between red and green (yellow) which our kids continue to interpret as "not red, therefore it's cool if I get up now". The existence of a middle color is a major design flaw in this parent's opinion. If it were just red/green, this clock would have 5 stars and my unending appreciation.

We've gone through several okay-to-wake alarm clocks which each had frustrations. For instance the battery slot on the LittleHippo Mella somehow disappeared and we ended up with a loose battery rattling around inside the unit, which was irritating. And I believe we had a couple Patch Products Teach Me Time clocks but they broke. This Timex unit seems very solid, is user-friendly, and has a screw for the battery slot which is helpful.
