A1707 Laptop Battery, Egoway A1820 Replacement for MacBook Pro 15 inch A1707 (Late 2016, Mid 2017) Touch Bar, EMC 3162 3072 Series

Long story short.. The battery died on my 2017 MacBook and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for someone else to do it so I found a step by step Youtube video on how to do it yourself.This comes with everything you need and I appreciate that the precision screw drivers are magnetic because you would definitely lose screws if they weren't. The adhesive sticks well and the battery itself hold a charge like it should. **I will update later on down the line if that changes I will note that this does take some time and patience but it is well worth it if you have both!

Was hesitant to get this, but so glad I did! Got this to replace the battery in my 2017 15-inch MacBook Pro, A1707. Battery worked perfect immediately after install and has continued to do so since.I am pretty familiar with the inside of a computer and have built a few desktop PC's. However, Iv never really messed with the inside of a MacBook or other laptop. Surprisingly it wasn't too difficult. I did take my time doing this to insure I did everything correctly, so it took about an hour and a half to do. I think it can easily be done faster, but just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to screw something up. I watched a couple YouTube videos of people doing this, so that was also helpful.Comes with everything you need to take out the battery and replace it. P5 screwdriver to remove the Apple casing on the back and a T5 and T3 screwdriver to remove the screws inside around the motherboard and battery. The 4th screw diver I didn't need (extra maybe?). Also came with pictured instructions that were very helpful.Helpful note for when you finish. Plug in the power cable to the Mac, then do a SMC and PRAM reset.SMC reset - hold CONTROL + OPTION + SHIFT and hit POWER BUTTON. Screen will turn off and that is a SMC reset.Before logging in, restart computer and do PRAM reset after you hit the power button or click restart.PRAM reset - hold COMMAND + OPTION + P + R for about 10 seconds. Screen will turn on then turn off and that is how you know you did the PRAM reset. Mac will then turn itself back on and you can then log in and you are done! Working MacBook!SMC reset controls how your Mac manages power.PRAM reset resets settings related to the Mac's operating system. Don't worry, neither of these will cause you to lose anything you have saved on your computer. These are both basically control settings and how the Mac runs and operates.

Just finished using this EGOWAY A1820 battery pack, my fourth in my 2017 13,3 TouchBar-Retina 15" MBP. Initial performance was excellent with 6907mAh [Design Capacity 6680mAh] vs the 6702mAh Apple original Battery. The mfg. date on this battery was 3-MAR-2015 which obviously isn't accurate when ready by macOS system manager or TechTool Pro. Decline in LiON cell health was very slow for the first year, then at month 18 things started to decline quickly. I think one of the cells has has lost it's ability to recharge thus pulling down the other three. No instability in the system operation, but when below 80% of original max capacity you do want to change the cells out as battery degradation can lead to other issues. I'm going to order again despite other options because this battery pack had a very strong 103% capacity, really lasted a long time on battery use, and has performed well for nearly two years. For this now 7-year old MBP a sub-$70 battery replacement is worthwhile and takes me about 1.2-hrs to complete. I'll report back when my 5th battery is installed and give it a review update when it has some cycles on it. Glad to keep these great i7 MBP's running, they do great for x-plat like using VMware Fusion w/ macOS...

I just installed this. Took my time, a bunch of tiny screws. Took about 30 to 60 minutes.- The Directions are very easy to follow. Pictures and step by step. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a photograph of the screws being removed with the picture so you know for sure how to put the right screws back in. there so tiny its not as apparent. However, you can figure it out like I did. I was to eager to not carefully separate the hardware during the removal of the old battery.- The most challenging part is removing the battery physically from the laptop. Its glued really well. and you don't want to rip it out because of the danger of damaging the battery making it unstable or laptop. I was worried about the battery exploding. It seemed fine, but didn't want to risk it. Just take your time. Follow directions. The directions first suggest using alcohol to help dissolve the glue, but the middle cells it tells you not to because its too close to other circuit boards. Easy to miss in the directions if you are cruising.- The main circuit portion that plugs the battery into the computer was a little bent and took som tweezers and a needle nose to carefully push back in. I was really careful, maybe too much but aside from removing the battery adhesive this was the most challenging, just because I didn't want to bend or snap anything.- After install, it booted right up. The computer only ran if pugged in before. The initial charge was at 50%. As I'm writing this review its almost 100%. I literally am writing this after this install.- I know the battery has little to do with the overall performance, but I noticed my computer running much faster. From what I've read the battery does have an effect on the perception of performance. Given that my battery didn't work at all and the computer only worked plugged in I bet it ran differently to acomodate.Time will tell if this is a great product or not. So far I'm happy. Anyone who has basic problem solving skills can pick this up and figure it out. Just take your time and follow directions. If anything happens, I'll report back with pictures. lol.I big shout out to all the other reviewers here, it helped me make this purchase. Even the one where the battery exploded. It cautioned me a little more.

Battery failed in less than a year. Reaching out to the vendor received no results. Do not buy!

This was my second time replacing the battery on this 2017 MBP with Touchbar so I had some experience. Albeit it was two years ago, so that instructions with pictures and step by step was awesome. It included all the specialized screw drivers needed, so that is a plus. Followed the steps and was rocking a new batter in less than 30 minutes. It was already 60% charged. The battery I got was made in 6.9 months ago (based on the details I got from my battery app). Haven't fully tested, but seems all right so far. Great cheap way to get new life out of an aging but still great MacBook Pro. Recommended

Spare battery replacement for Macbook pro with all tools necessary provided!Impressed to see that all the screwdrivers, utensils, protective mat are provided to replace the battery on the Macbook. Full step by step picture instructions are also provided, they could be a bit clearer, but go slow and you should be fine.The battery replacement took some time as I was taking it very slowly, make sure you have a container for all the very small screws to keep them together.Battery is working well and holding charge for a long time so no complaints!

On prend rarement un risque avec une marque aussi sérieuse que Egoway, dont la réputation n'est plus à faire.Cette batterie ne déroge pas à la règle.Comme d'habitude, le nécessaire au montage est fourni et il ne reste qu'à mettre un peu ses mains dans le cambouis.Il n'est pas inutile, si l'on manque d'habitude, de consulter un tuto en ligne pour le remplacement d'une batterie MacBook pro, mais ce n'est pas franchement difficile.Parfait !

Das A1707 MacBook Pro ist zwar noch nicht so alt, trotzdem hat mein Original Akku leider nicht lange gehalten. Auf der Suche nach einem Ersatz bin ich auf dieses Akkupack gestoßen. Anstatt der beigefügten Anleitung habe ich eine deutlich detailliertere aus dem Internet verwendet. Die meiste Zeit sollte man sich für das Entfernen der Klebereste einplanen, der Rest des Ein- und Ausbaus geht recht gut und zügig voran.Den Akku habe ich erst einmal vollständig aufgeladen, habe dann ein paar Filme auf Akku Betrieb geschaut, um den Akku zügig zu entleeren und habe anschließend eine Weile gewartet, um das System zu Kalibrieren.Nach einem Monat mit dem neuen Akku bin ich vollkommen zufrieden und kann ihn nur weiterempfehlen an alle die mir ihrer Akkuleistung nicht mehr zufrieden sind.
