In running PEX water pipe I use foam insulation with 1" walls. I never will use the stuff sold at the big box stores, which usually is quite thin-walled and offers little insulating value, although sometimes I do find some that have 1" walls - I asked a salesperson why they don't carry the 1" walled ones, and he said no one wants to pay the extra cost. Not a wise decision. The thin-walled probably are better for sound abatement than they are as actual insulators.So when I run 1" PEX it means my insulation has a 3" diameter. That is pretty huge. And finding clamps that don't cost a fortune is hard. These are great for that purpose. They have a rubber inner liner so the metal doesn't cut into the foam. I shoot sheetrock screws into the underside of a beam or joist every 4' and things couldn't work out any better. It took me a while to find these but I'm glad I did.

I purchased these for my Radon mitigation system. They're on the thin side but work fine for my needs. Oh, need to be aware that 4 inch PVC schedule 40 is measured from the inside; the outside diameter is 4.5 inches, and couplings are larger.

I got 2 times the amount of clamps than what it would have costed at a big box store. Granted these clamps are a bit thinner than the galvanized ones, but they still feel durable enough to hang my pipes. The rubber is an addition benefit as it helps cushion the pipe and the bracket which I hope will help reduce rattling of the pipe. Overall good value if you need to buy in bulk.

Used these to hold up flag pole on the fence post works great and nice and strong.
