Craft-tastic —Empower Poster — Craft Kit — Design a One-of-a-Kind Inspirational Poster — Ages 8+

I first saw this idea pinned somewhere and planned to do it with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. The troop didn’t end up choosing the project, so I decided to do it with my homeschooled kids instead.I was going to have them find the words in magazines, but when I saw this craft box on sale for around $10 I decided to go with convenience.Pros:💕 Convenience.💕 This set contains enough items for more than one project. With a little copying of the words, and by cutting 2 more boards out of cardboard, we had enough for all 3 of my children.💕 I like the long lists of words chosen. The beige and the black card stock with the words are different. The list starts on the beige piece and goes in alphabetical order.Cons:👎🏻 MSRP is a bit high. You get a piece of cardboard, 2 pieces of card stock, a few small squares of tissue paper, a 3rd piece of card stock with the “I am” printed on them, a foam brush, and a medium jar of generic Mod Podge like solution. I could buy these items for a few bucks.👩🏻‍🦱 Final thoughts:This project is cute and gave my children a good craft to help them reflect on themselves in a positive way whilst spending some offline time together.If I made this kit, I would not make the poster out of cardboard. It’s very hard to hang or frame and cheapens the craft. I highly suggest using thin canvas, card stock, or wood. We went with wood. They look great!If this were more than $10 I would pass. I feel this item is worth $4.99-$6.99 as packaged. I would pay up to $10 only because everyone knows convenience is an upcharge.

I bought this for my tween daughter for her birthday. She loved it! We made it together. It was a wonderful time of mother/daughter fun. My only issue is that the double sided tape that came with it was about as good as an off brand Post-it note. I went to the store and bought some 3M double sided tape. The project is great now.

I seldom leave a negative review as I hate to damage anyone's business. But, this product is far below what was described or, at least, what I expected. I bought 3 kits for my 4 granddaughters to share, ages 7- 12. I was super excited to find what looked like a fun but meaningful end of summer project. When we opened the boxes, I immediately could tell the boxes, pictures and tape would poorly made. The boxes are very flimsy and the tape is a nightmare to use so we had to also use scotch tape which made the product look sloppy. I thought the quotes were stickers - my mistake - so the girls had to cut them out and then wrestle with the tape once again to attach them to the boxes. The finished product is pretty sad looking, definitely not worth $20. You are be better served to purchase your own ready made boxes and stickers to make your own posters.

I liked the concept of this product and the design elements included in the kit but the adhesive strips sucked! I had to use tweezers to remove the protective layer. But the worse part was that I had to reapply the adhesive stickers multiple times to the same spots. I was about ready to throw the whole thing in the trash but I think I might try to salvage it by trying rubber cement or something other than the adhesive strips provided.

We got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loved it. Created her own poster right away. Unfortunately, it only stayed together for about an hour before it started falling apart. We ended up stapling the boxes together, as well as the corners of the boxes and then mounted it on a piece of wood with better adhesive. The double sided tape they provide isn't really up to the job of holding everything together. Still, it is a great concept and if you're willing to put in some heftier adhesive supplies it is better.

Great uplifting project for my 11 yr old daughter and I to create together for her room. We discussed each word as we cut them out to decide which virtues suited her best. Its displayed on her wall and looks great.

The idea is super adorable, and it's filled with positive sayings, etc. But it falls apart, the tape doesn't stick, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. You get what you pay for, I guess.. but stinks when the little girl takes all the time and effort to put together to have it fall apart.

Great idea but I ordered 3 kits and all 3 glue bottles were dried solid. Since we had already opened them all and started cutting the tissue paper I had to do an impromptu stop to the store to buy glue.

So cute. Bought this for my 14y/o daughter for Christmas and not only did she make a poster with the included posterboard, but she's made 2 more with cardboard backing and the leftover material ❤ Such a great & inspirational gift idea for girls.

Sent this to my mother to keep my grandmother occupied. My mother reported at least 40% of the contents were missing. Very disappointing purchase.
