Works perfectly
Worked just the way we needed it to. Put this in my Canon t6i & there is a little rubber pull out on the battery door of the camera so you can shut the door of the battery. It won’t work unless you close the battery door. I didn’t even have to go in setting to change anything. It just started working. Love it! What a great price for it too.

Works as expected. Used with Canon Rebel T6i.Always be sure to close the battery door, otherwise the camera will not turn on. There's a small flap built into the camera that the power cord runs through so that the door can close completely. The Canon Rebel T6i will first warn you about the power cord you've plugged in. It'll say you aren't using a Canon brand cable, just accept the warning and you can being using the camera!

I use it for my streaming set up
I used it with my dslr canon eos rebel t6, it's easy to use, just connect it and the job is done. The power flicker but maybe the battery looses sometimes.

Works as expected!
Was concerned using this low-cost alternative with my expensive DSLR, but took a risk, and this definitely panned out. This is an excellent bargain. Used it today for an hour long video shoot. Alternated back and forth between this adapter and my standard canon batteries (stationary vs run & gun shooting). The sellers directions on the camera behavior were spot on. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cheaper alternative to the $100 canon power supply.

Finicky in my SL2
It seems to fit fine in my Canon SL2, but getting it to actually make continual contact has been finicky. Not sure if it's in the cable or the "battery pack", but somewhere things don't quite want to stay connected if the camera is moving around. Luckily I bought it for locked-down-on-a-tripod work, so it should be ok.

Massive Feedback
This seemed like a great solution until I plugged in an external mic.The battery back creates a massive buzzing feedback when an external audio source is connected. This defeats the whole purpose of this device for me since I was planning to use it for class recordings.Don't buy this if you intend to use an external audio source.

Works great for my T7i (not really, see update)
Used on my T7i and works wonderful. No issues and gives me the ability to run live streams and to use it constantly without the worry of a batteryUpdate 11-9-2020: I have had problems with disconnection issues between my camera and my computer. Sometimes it would be an hour in. sometimes 20 minutes. Lately it will not stay connected for more than 3 minutes. This is really bad during Zoom calls. I went through a LOT or troubleshooting, from replacing the USB connection wire from the camera to the computer about 5 times. deleted software. Tried other software. Even wiped my hard drive and reinstalled windows. Nothing cured it. Then reading troubleshooting posts, someone asked if another person having the same problem if they were on a battery or using an external power supply. the person said power supply. They were told to disconnect the power supply and Voila!, it worked. So I tried this and sure enough, I went through a 2 hour zoom call using only my Cannon battery and I did not disconnect ONCE< NOT ONCE> That means it was this power supply causing the issue.Honestly, I do not know if it is the fault of Canon or this power supply but they do not seam to be compatible with the Canon T7i. so I move this to 3 stars because I do not know for sure who is at fault. But if you have this or get this and have the same disconnect issues, then this is your culprit.Edit 2-27-21Almost 4 months later of just using battery and not this and I have experienced 0 disconnects and I have been on for hours at a time. So This power supply was 100% the problem.
