Great product, works as advertised!
This is a super-high capacity ink cartridge (black) for the Epson Artisan 837 Printer. I got this over other generic printer ink brands because the last time I used an off-brand ink cartridge, it completely destroyed my older Epson photo printer. This is the original ink and technology but in a longer-lasting container. I have found that it replicates exactly the quality that you get with the ink that comes with the printer, which is the best that there is. Text is as crisp and sharp as you will get on an inkjet printer (in plain text mode) but pictures in the special "Best Photo" printing mode that this printer has on ultra-high quality glossy Epson photo paper (8.5x11in.) is spectacular. The blacks are deep and striking, the shadows detailed and accurate, and if you happened to have any text in the photo or added some with Adobe Photoshop, it will show in perfect ultra high resolution on the printed image, no shaky edges or blurriness, better than it looks on your own monitor (unless you have a 4K artist monitor like me). I use Photoshop CS6 to perfect the colors and contrast and shadows and highlights in the image on my computer, and with my own aided eyesight, my calibrated monitor, and this ink in my Artisan 837 printer, I can make the picture look better than real life without sacrificing realism or quality. So basically, this is a great product and so far, though I haven't done a ton of printing with this new cartridge (probably 10 full-color blu-rays printed, along with 4 of the 8.5x11 inch photos that have a hell of a lot of color and about 20 pages of mostly black text with some color) the ink level indicator in the Epson Printer Manager program shows that the ink hasn't depleted even a single percent yet on ANY of the cartridges, because I also got the corresponding high-capacity color ink cartridges for the printer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026TP6YS/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1). People have shown concern that when you insert the new cartridges into the printer, the printer begins by charging the cartridges and the print head which uses a lot of ink, but I updated the printer's firmware to the latest version before installing these new cartridges and nothing like that happened; I just opened the printer, replaced the cartridges, and the ink-cartridge cart went back to the side of the printer and went into standby. Since you can't really vacuum the ink out of the old cartridges by using them to their maximum capacity, the partially-clear tubes that connect the stationary (unless replacing) ink-cartridge cart to the print head were still full with ink from the previous cartridge that came with the printer. There were no bubbles in the tubes or anything when I put in the new cartridges, it seems that it just perfectly integrated and filled the tubes with the new ink before where the old ink ran out, and there was no difference in color or tone or quality as it printed stuff using the in remaining in the tubes from the old cartridges followed on the same page, when the old ink was simply used up, by the new ink. Complete consistency.I give this product a full 5 stars, 100% rating, A+ grade. And the best deal for these cartridges is on Amazon, so don't hesitate in getting yours now!

Ahhhh! Much better than Dura Brite inks!!
I've been a professional photographer for many MANY moons! Up until about 5 months ago, I used an Epson Workforce 600 printer as my everyday printer... for documents, and everyday photo printing. For documents, it was an excellent printer. It was also "good" for printing photos. However for my important gallery photos, I use my Epson Stylus Pro 3880... a professional photo printer. The problem with the Workforce 600 is that it used Durabrite ink, which is a pigment based ink. In the past, all pigment based ink had a problem with glossy paper called metamerism. That's a property where the ink sits on TOP of the paper surface. The results were that when viewed under different lighting conditions the color appears to shift a little bit, and even caused "bronzing", especially in the blacks when viewed under spectral lighting. This effect was most noticable in black and white prints. Also, when viewed at certain angles the images would appear less glossy and uneven when going from lighter colors, or clear, to dark colors... almost like a negative image! My latest SMALL printer is the Epson Artisan 810 printer, which uses Claria ink... a dye based ink. No more bronzing or metamerism! The glossy prints have an even gloss and truly look like regular photo prints from your local pro camera store!... some small drug store labs still give you prints with uneven gloss... or semi-gloss. Also, Claria ink adds two more colors, Light Magenta and Light Cyan which means that you get a potentially wider color gamut (depending on your color settings) than you do with the old Durabrite 4-color ink system. The problems with pigment based inks have been pretty much eliminated, due to micro encapsulation of the ink droplets in the best pigment based inks. The encapsulation surrounds each droplet with a polymer, which almost completely eliminates their previous problems. I am extremely happy with this color pack not just because it saves money over buying the cartridges individually, but also because it uses Claria ink!

Epson photo paper made the difference with this printer
We purchased this printer because we were having trouble printing photos with our prior all-in-one printer, and this one had great reviews in our local newspaper and online. As advertised, the printer setup was relatively easy. The biggest challenge I had was in loading paper tray, which left me wondering if I had done it right until I actually printed anything. I still haven't done the network setup for the printer, partly because you can't scan images to your computer using that setup. You must use the USB connection to do so.Once set-up, I was impressed by how easy it was to get our camera connected and to work with photos from the computer.I was very unimpressed, however, with the print quality we were getting on photo paper. We were using some photo paper that we already had lying around the house to do the printing, and the images all seemed grainy. You could see ink dots all over the images, and while they would look fine from about 5 feet away, they looked horrible at arm's length.Frustrated with the results we were getting and feeling like we had been taken for a ride, we decided to give the recommended Epson brand photo paper a try as a last ditch effort. There was no sample was included with the printer, but that brand was recommended throughout the documentation. The specific paper we purchased is the: 100-SHEET 4X6 Glossy Ultra Premium Photo PaperThat paper made all of the difference. The images that we're printing now are matching the descriptions provided by others. They're high quality, just like a photo printed from a shop.

Shipment fee
The product is fine. It’s two times shipment fee charged but just comes in one box with the other product I ordered. I don’t mind to ship out together. Hope I don’t got charged twice again.
