The Yonico 14141 Top and bottom bearing router bit is great for all your trim applications. This bit can be used with either a top or bottom template. Especially useful for template work when routing rounded or curvy wood with sensitive end-grains. The top and bottom bearings allow you to flip over the wood stock When you reach "up-grain" And rout that segment in a "down-grain" Direction, maintaining uniform smoothness around the work-piece.

Even allowing for the good price this one is to be avoided
I have many Yonico router bit some from kits and some purchased separately. This is the first really poor quality item. The first one I ordered caused a noticeable vibration in the router in just the first 6 inches of use, so I returned it, Amazon was very prompt and the replacement came in two days. I chucked it in the router and this one still had some vibration but less than the first so I put it to work. In the first six feet of trimming a desktop the vibration worsened and when I was done I discovered the bottom bearing had fallen off. I make some allowance for the low price but this was unacceptable. I requested a refund and Amazon promptly agreed. I ordered a CMT as a replacement.

Excellent item, very pleased with it so far.
Works for the purpose it was originally needed (flush trim on a 1-3/4" thick panel) and held up well. It will probably see quite a bit of use when my router table is finished, as it'll be seeing duty as an edge jointer (which I don't have) so I may update this later on its durability, but for the work it has gone through to date, I can reasonably expect it should last some time. Came fully assembled, and bearing screws and set screws were all tight, didn't need to re-tighten those, unlike the experience I had with some other bits (even some quality brand name bits, screws came out and had to spend another $20 on collar & set screw kit) Cutters have remained sharp, and leaves a nice smooth cut, so 5 stars all around.

Worked great for cutting a guitar body
I used this to cut a guitar body out of douglas fir. The removable bottom bearing as a great feature because it allowed me to cut a 2" thick slab but doing taking off the bottom bearing, running the top bearing against the template, then re-installing the bottom bearing and flipping the slab over and using the already-cut portion of the workpiece as the template. I hope that makes sense.

Bottom guide falls out
Used to flush trim 2 in walnut. Cuts well but bottom guide repeated falls out because it is secured by a tiny screw that loosens. This could be dangerous when running the bit in a router table. Tightening the screw doesnt help because the supplied washer prevents the guide from turning.

Get the longest one you might need
Works great and beefy. Trims very smooth. Requires 1/2" collet but you wouldn't want to run this in a trim router anyway.Has bearings top and bottom and have used it both ways. Will buy another slightly longer as the 1.5" barely trims a 2*4.Flush trimmed a top 2*6 using bottom bearing and used the top bearing on 3/4" ply. Produces a beautiful finish.

Not even gonna risk it
A lot of reviews mentioned balancing issues. After a recent wood working accident, I'm extra cautious and felt the reviews were user errors. However, after getting the bit and seeing the extra yellow paint and an out of balance washer holding the top bearing and several other differences from the pictures. I'm not going to risk it. I'll return for another brand. Giving two stars since I can't comment on actual usability, therefore, I guess my rating is on QA.

Worked great for me
I saw a lot of negative reviews so I wanted to share my experience. Used this to flush trim 1.5" cherry from a pattern and it worked great. Worked well even routing against the grain. Picture shows the bit after flush trimming 4 legs on two sides. It's still in like new condition. Can't speak to long term durability but definitely worth the money for use on this project.

A long router bit
I used it to finish a countertop and the two inch length gave it plenty of overlap to enable you to use it without worrying that you had the depth perfect. You are taking off a lot of wood each pass.

Don’t let the price/ brand fool you. Decent bits.
I haven’t used this flush trim bit yet, ( upcoming project) but I have no doubt it will perform well based on other bits I used from yonico, which rose above any expectations I had based on price for a moulding bit , I had little material that I had to cut maybe 60’ 2-1/2” spruce, and it performed very well beyond my expectations and I have no doubt that I can depend on this bit for future use. well packaged, fast delivery...I have no doubts !

Vibrates alarmingly in use!
Intended to use for pattern cutting parts for Aderondack chairs. Something is very wrong about the balance or accuracy of fabrication, it vibrated alarmingly at high speed in the router, I feared for the safety of the router’s bearings so discontinued using it. There aren’t many good long bits available.

Superó mis expectativas!
Viene muy bien protegida en un empaque de platico y eso a su vez en una caja de cartón. La calidad se ve espectacular para ser de bajo precio.Sin duda recomiendo Yonico para fresas o puntas de router.
