Bummer
I thought this would be a good book for my clients, since I’m a therapist. I’ll be returning this. The book is not bad. But it doesn’t meet my standards as a health professional.

Educational
The first half of the book is educational, and the second half is where the workbook pages are. I haven't gotten through it all the way. The first parts are really boring to me. I want to treat my depression, but learning the stuff is a lot. The author is knowledgeable, but if you are in a real funk, a therapist is a better idea.I ended up taking a course on happiness online, which is more helpful to me. I will come back to this book when I am done with the class.I am dealing with my depression by journaling about things that I am grateful for, and events that I am looking forward to. This seems to be helping more than anything. If I get into a funk again, I will pick up the book again.

Used
I paid for a new book. The book I received is a used book. The edges of the cover are flipped up and the cover itself is curved as one would expect from a book that has been used. I just got the book so I can’t comment on how good/bad it is. I just don’t like paying for a new book and getting a used one.

Good and Fun
I bought one for myself and my best friend so we could do them together. The questions inside help you get things out that might be bothering you and they are always fun to share responses to the questions with each other. We have had tons of laughs. Thanks for a fun workbook.

Yes! Help is here.
I am working through this long-distance with a dear friend. Both of us have lived challenges in our family life that made being happy nearly impossible. We like the clear approach and advice offered here. The language is for laypersons, and the goals are achievable. I recommend this to anyone wanting to take steps to improve their quality of life.
