Q: If i have size 9 feet, should i get xl or xxl?

I am a size 9.5/10.0 and I got an XL and it fits fine with a little extra space in the back so I would recommend getting a L. Hopefully this helps!

Q: Will the 3xl work for a US size 16?

I don't think it would fit for size 16. It fits just right for me, and I'm a size 11.5.

Q: Do you have to break them in? I got them today and it kinda hurts a lot though they are big enough.

My biggest part was getting used to the part between my toes. It will break in some but not a whole lot.

All I can do is compare - I'm having to return what I bought, as they are too small.The XL, (LL) - measures nearly 11" long. My son's feet, (whom I bought these for), is size 10.5". These are about 1/2" - 3/4" too small, due to the placement of the center thong.The width - I believe the width is pretty much the same on all of these. It should be noted that the side thongs are spaced 3" apart.Hope this helps.
