They are cast and rustic looking just what we wanted.Only issue there might be (but not for me).The included screws are not steel. Possibly aluminum or brass. That might be an issue if you’re working with some hardwoods like oak or maple. If you over tighten they might break.

They look as good as they do in the picture and they are not sloppy. The hinge is tight and does not bend down which was a worry.

These are beautiful and so strong. Used 3 per side on 2 foot wide by 8 foot vertical particle board garage cabinet door. Perfect!

I collect cast iron pots, cast iron shelving, and cast iron finishing pieces. I ordered these hinges to be used on an upcoming project the hubby and I have planned - which is to be used a chicken coop we are building. These hinges come packaged very well protected in plastic and then wrapped in their individual packaging. Upon opening the first hinge to inspect it I was concerned that the brand name was marked on each piece, but then saw it is on the backside of each hinge - so you are not commercializing your project for the company. :) I am extremely pleased with these hinges, they are heavier than I thought they would be and the back of each hinge is smooth and the front has a kind of old worlde rough appearance which is exactly what I was looking for with regard to the project of the chicken coop. They come with screws - but I will need to get different screws for our project as the ones that come with these aren't quite long enough - but I am sure the screws that did come with these will be used in some way, even if on another project. I appreciate the company including these. The hinges are smooth and move readily right out of the package. These would be beautiful for use on rustic or Provencial style wooden furniture pieces and even if someone was artsy they could patina the hinges with verdigris and bronze or gold leaf along with some sealant on hutches, cabinets, or bookcase doors. I am so happy I got these - I actually love my new hinges and cannot wait to start building out coop.

More time will be needed to give a completely informational review on these, and I will update the review if anything changes as far as the sturdiness and stability of these hinges, but so far I have nothing but great things to say about these hinges. Really heavy duty and sturdy so far but also beautiful for the gate project that I purchased them for. Material is solidly manufactured, complete with the other hardware you need for installation. Again, if I feel like these do not last as long as I feel they should last, I will update this review but I have a feeling they will last for a long time. They seem to be coated perfectly for rust-resistance out in the elements and that's always a bonus. I hope this review is helpful!
