I ordered the US layout Acer Aspire 38xx/48xx replacement keyboard. Everything looks good until you take it out of the bubble wrap and the thin plastic wrap. Then, you'll notice that the keyboard is bent mostly on one side. The keyboard has a very thin sheet metal backing. I was able to mostly bend it back so it's mostly flat but I can't believe it's even bent like that! I'll leave the review open until after I have installed this keyboard to replace my French-Canadian keyboard. I'm not happy with the product arriving bent! Hopefully everything works after installation!Update: Feb 17, 2022-------------------------I installed the new US Layout Keyboard into my Acer Aspire 3820 Notebook. Taking out the old stock French-Canadian keyboard was a bit tricky. Installing the new one was pretty simple. The cable in the back was a bit tricky but it didn't take very long once you get one side slipped into the slot and then wiggling the other side in. The keyboard just snaps into place by pushing down into the slotted areas of the notebook. Just make sure all 4 sides are pressed in and clicked into the tabs. Anyway, the US layout is so much better - less clutter and easier to type, especially using the left Shift key. Everything works! I've tested all the keys and it's great! The only thing is that there is a bit of flex at the center of the keyboard. Likely, this will go away over time as the keyboard sags and bows from the center outward similar to the stock one I replaced. In addition, I didn't crease the cable on the back. So, it added some bulge at the center, which is not noticeable but you do feel the flex as you're typing. I'm satisfied and upped the rating to 3-stars.Update March 25, 2022:---------------------------After installing this US-layout Keyboard and using it for 3 months, the keyboard works fine. I have no qualms about it. It does have a bit of flexing at the center of the keyboard. It's doesn't bother me as much as the French-Canadian layout keyboard I used to have. So, I'm pleased with it.

It fit and worked perfect. At first a bunch of letters typed out numbers. I went online to the find out the magic to use to correct that which was holding ctrl, alt and something at the same time. That would have been helpful to have known before I started but I figured that out and now I can't get my laptop back, my family keeps using it.
