How I Learned to Drive (Acting Edition for Theater Productions)

Arrived in New condition. Great play as well!

This was needed for school audition. She really liked it, although I as a mother was not really crazy about the content, but that's theatre and we are show people after all.

I really enjoyed the play. Read it twice. Some of the best lines I've ever read concerning the possible reason for the main male's behavior and the girl's knowledge of the "stealth" male behavior of a young man she met. Very understanding and compassionate view of a crisis in male-female relationships. Not sure most would/could respond that way.

For as serious a topic as a woman's remembrance of her experiences as the victim of her uncle's pedophilia this is at time a wonderfully funny and marvelous play. I highly recommend it.

Ms. Vogel tackles a taboo subject behind a huge epidemic of crime, mostly against children...pedophiles usually victimize about 260 people each, 25% of American women victimized, one of five or six men? One third of teens between 14-19? She had the courage to write the play, it should be required reading for all teens so they can read the danger signs before they are victimized-and perhaps they'll speak up.

Something is wrong with the way this book is put together. Page 40 and page 41 are not continuous pages. There should be a page in there or something. It's very weird. And I know it's not supposed to be like that because I read this play in school and I liked it, so I got a copy recently. (It's a great play by the way. It's disturbing but very moving at the same time). After I found the misprint I ordered another copy because I thought maybe it was just in that one, but it's in the second one I got too. I'm going to order a different edition of the play.

Great for my visually impaired / LD /disabled students who have a hard time keeping up with the reading of the script.

Absolutely brilliant play! A dark comedy that touches on some very hard issues. The Greek chorus can be separated into individual parts. Recommend doing lots of character research and historical background information. Fascinating play. Deserves the awards it received. Some brilliant monologues and one liners in there!

Creepy but well-written play. Lots of great monologues. Paper binding, kind of flimsy publication.
