Doesnât register all key presses
For whatever reason, the unit doesnât register all key presses, especially the first one. Itâll beep in response to the key being pressed, but it doesnât register. It might be related to the keypad being asleep and not waking up quick enough, but one would think all the keypads would automatically wake up when the entry countdown begins. I have two of these keypads, and both behave like this. Is this a known issue, or is there a fix for this? I am debating returning them because the alarm sometimes gets tripped because it doesnât register all my key presses.

and supports enough configurable settings to make a good remote panel for a home
With the most recent software this panel works well with the Lyric controller, and supports enough configurable settings to make a good remote panel for a home. The display and keyboard can be set fairly dim now, so they don't light up the whole room as they did in earlier software versions. The "panic" and "security" indicators on the lower left and right of the panel are still pretty bright, so you wouldn't want this in a bedroom.

Nice addition to my larger main Lyric panel
Nice addition to my larger main Lyric panel. Have this on a separate floor and communicates with larger panel without fail.

I purchased because Honeywell indicated over a year ago (press release) that they would release a software update to allow this to work with Homekit. Many months overdue and I feel cheated.

Works great. Unless you want it in a bedroom.
Iâd assume a vast majority of the purchases for this unit are for use in a bedroom. Well. Hopefully you want a night light too. The display settings DO NOT allow you to turn off the backlight. Only dim it. And the armed and panic buttons are anything but dim. My wife asked me to take this stupid thing down. So unless Honeywell has a plan for another firmware update donât buy this for use in a bedroom.
