Worked ok for 2 months now wont switch off.
Got this remote control 13amp socket in December last year and worked great up until about 4 weeks ago when it started not switching off occasionally when remote pressed. Thought no more of it, but now it turns off the red led on the socket but power stays on even if you press the off button on side of the socket so it's not flat battery or remote fault. Disappointed as it should last more than a few months. Shame :( Update 22.02.22, the item actually has a years warranty so I contacted customer services and they were very helpful and after checking the basics like was battery dead etc agreed to send a replacement receiver. Receiver arrived today and is working after pairing it with the original remote. Good customer service, very impressed.

Brilliant - just buy it
This little thing is simple & excellent. I rigged a bright light on an extension above the back door of the garage to a socket inside it, at least 15m away from the back of the house. Now I can switch it on from the back door, where I keep the remote in a little dish and it lights my way across the lawn. Simply ON or OFF, no fiddling with a phone.

DEWENWILS Remote Control Sockets
I have several of these DEWENWILS Remote Control Sockets, purchased over a period of time. They represent very good value for and are easy to install and operate. I use them for such tasks as controlling Christmas lights, bedside lights and isolating supplies in my music studio. The keyring is a novel and useful feature as it allows you to hang the remote control somewhere handy if so desired. The sizes of the socket and control are practical yet compact. I will definitely buy these again in future, as needed.

This is my 3rd socket, they are so convenient. I use one the summer to switch on/ off bedroom fan, but in winter for my all the table lights around my home. So easy to set up, attach plug to control socket and go. Small and simple so not protruding near furniture.
