Excellent Logical Deduction Puzzle from SmartGames
I collect lots of physical logical puzzles like this that have multiple challenges. SmartGames, naturally, has quite a presence in my collection, and I'm always excited to see new puzzles announced. I was particularly happy to see Diamond Quest, as I love these types of logical deduction puzzles. One of my favorites is Chocolate Fix from ThinkFun. If you enjoy that, or similar sudoku-style logic puzzles, then Diamond Quest will be right up your alley. The production is lovely. It's just the right size, isn't over-produced, and it has very attractive pieces. There's a lid that contains the game and manual perfectly. I have several older games where you have to strap the manual on the puzzle with a big rubber band. I'm so glad they've stepped up their game and put some effort into designing this better. Anyway, I haven't done all the puzzles yet, but it seems, from those I've done, that they're designed really well, and ramp up nicely in complexity as you advance through the 80 challenges. They cause more head scratching as you get to the higher levels, but are much more satisfying too! Anyway, excellent puzzle, which I'm so happy to add to my collection!UPDATE: I have now finished all challenges (minus "starter" levels which are better suited for younger people). I enjoyed these very much and all challenges were well designed and satisfying. This is as fun as Chocolate Fix, which is saying a lot, as I love those puzzles.

Engaging and challenging.
We like the appearance of the game and the concept of Diamond Quest. It requires sequential and logical reasoning. Good for eye/hand coordination and fine motor skills.

Diamond Quest
It is very similar to the game Chocolate Fix, so if you already have Chocolate Fix, you might want to pass on this one, but if you don’t have that game, Diamond Quest is challenging and fun. I started at the very beginning doing the super simplistic puzzles to get the hang of the game. I’m not sure how great it is for travel. It would have been nice if it came in a drawstring bag. The diamonds also roll around a bit, so again, there may be better games for travel.

Very confused by this game
I've been playing this game with my kids over the past few weeks. There's a part of it that I really enjoy -- it's a great example of increasing difficulty as you go, and the pieces are very satisfying. But in the second section, I've gotten to some puzzles where there are multiple answers to the puzzle, when I know that there is only supposed to be one answer. Unless I'm doing something wrong, it makes the game not much fun.
