Inaccurate description and poor quality
The lens magnification is at most 1.5x. The chromatic aberration is significant outside half the radius of the field of view, making this lens useless.

Unbrauchbar
Daumen runter.

Don't Waste Your Time
I decided to give this lens a try despite what everyone has said in their reviews. I felt pretty sure that if you used the extension with manual focus you wouldn't run into all the nasty problems other people have reported. Well, I was wrong. The shots I got using manual focus, in manual mode, were horrible and out of focus to boot. And THEN, when I took the extension off my camera to re-package it for return, I saw a spiral-shaped piece of metal sticking out inside the lens. I thought it might have been a stray shard that spiraled up from the threads when I screwed the extension onto my lens, so I took a piece of lens paper and tried to get at the stray piece of metal. No luck - it's INSIDE the lens, between the two pieces of glass - see the attached photo. Don't waste your time with this one. Very disappointed with Vivtar.
