Excellent .7mm mechanical pencil
Another excellent Penac offering, similar to the rest of the TLG-20x line, this pencil is the .7mm version (hence TLG-207). This one has beautiful and subtle blue coloration, and is offset beautifully by the polished central banding, pocket clip and cone, all of which are metal. The build quality here is what you'd expect from Penac, top shelf and flawlessly executed. The grip is fantastic, the pencil is extremely well balanced and the lead advancement is spot on. Not too much, not too little, just right with each click.Like the TLG-205 (but not the TLG-203), the tip on this pencil is also retractable, making it 'pocket safe' as they say. Personally I rarely carry a pencil in my pocket, but I do often cart around my go-to pencils in a couple of different pencil cases (more like pouches). In those cases, you will find that having a retractable tip is nice, because it keeps your pencils from poking small holes in the fabric of the pencil cases/bags, not to mention it keeps things cleaner from not having any exposed lead or a dirty tip to mark things up either. As with the entire TLG-20x and TLG-10x series, these offer a twist-up eraser at the top, but I tend to avoid using these because the eraser can become difficult to replace and it looks ugly without a clean eraser up top. Must better to use a dedicated polymer eraser if you have the room to carry one, there is no built-in eraser on any mechanical pencil that can come close. If you're looking for a no frills, high quality and purpose-built mechanical pencil with .7mm lead, I highly encourage you to check this one out. They're becoming more difficult to find, unless you can locate some re-branded models (Aristo comes to mind), and the Penac originals are much nicer looking anyway.

Not bad, but a little false
This pencil is smaller than it appears to be. Note IT IS CHROME, not rose gold trim. This is false photography. It is a nice writer and the sliding sleeve works well and protects the lead. The eraser is precise and does not "slip" back in during erasing.
