Are these heavy enough to use as bookends?

They are not terribly heavy but we do use them as bookends in our collection! We have the castle paperback set bookended with them, and we've considered using them as bookends for more. I wouldn't count on them to be really heavy duty bookends but they work well for a lot of them!

Is the Hogwarts castle an actual sculpture or just a facade paper background?

Great Harry Potter items!!

I love this entire collection of enchanted creatures from the Harry Potter/Crimes films. I have collected a number of them. The are wonderful to display either in their cases or out. Be careful ...opening the box seems tricky but just cut a few pieces of tape and carefully open. That way you preserve the box(if that's important to you...but they are cool boxes).
