I am happy that I was able to invest in this product, I did that to stop paying for some cloud storage subscription. The Synology itself is good but it came with six 2TB storage that I wanted to swap for one 12TB storage so I could have the remaining 5 slots for other drives but they would not let me. I love the disk station.

Fast, easy assembly, and works like a charm. Love this product!

SSDs included with this system are not up to par. Two of six failed after two years, resulting in total corruption of volume. They are totally non-responsive. Luckily, I had secondary backups. Since disks are not specified on the receipt, it is difficult to get a warranty RMA on them from manufacturer.The Synology system itself is world-leading. Buyer beware of included disks.

Please be aware:The drives that were supplied with this purchase are not 'NAS' drives, and not listed as compatible.I did note that these Barracuda drives are compatible with Synology's lower end consumer models, but not the DS1621+ that I ordered. The install procedure displayed the error message that is pictured.I understand that if I require support for this device, I will likely not get the best level of service because of this.added 2/12 Also confirm that the included memory is supported by Synology. The attached image show the error reported every time the unit reboots.
