Idioms for Everyday Use - Student Book

This is an excellent idiom book especially for English learners from other languages whom I teach. Idioms are very clearly explained with well set out categories of idiomatic practice plus opportunities for discussion. Students love it and it is a definite must for anyone learning the English language where idioms are so prevalently used.

Our students struggle on standardized tests with recognizing idioms (and explaining them). This will go a long way toward helping them in their attempts to comprehend idioms.

This book is a godsend for ESL teachers! lots of interactive exercises, and the idioms are used in context. PLUS the student is invited to explore other expressions that aren't covered in the book. Bravo Milada! It's a natural go-to for my intermediate and advanced students.

Funny way to remember idioms. I got it used so cheaper. Otherwise very costly.
