The MadeCera Dermasix Gel is a slightly cloudy otherwise colorless silicone ointment, medium-weight, and rich in various inflammation-fighting focused elements like tea tree, licorice root extract, CICA compounds, green tea, panthenol, etc. Surprisingly, the tea tree scent is extremely faint. The texture is nice and slippery and melts into the skin quickly, leaving behind a matte finish. Not super hydrating but not drying. You get a tiny flexible metal tube, 0.3oz of it, for $15 as of this writing. Good spot treatment (ideally for those with mild to moderate acne, not cystic). This is something I would use on an active pimple, after cleansing in the PM. Apply a very small amount to the flare, let "dry," then place a hydrocolloid dot overtop. This ointment isn't greasy, sticky, heavy, or unpleasant to use. Hasn't caused any other irritation like flares, rashes, or new breakouts for me. It is effective and very mild.

I've tried a few different acne spot treatments over the years, from old-school sulfur pastes (foul-smelling and obvious) to benzoyl peroxide (toxic and staining) to salicylic (irritating and ineffective). But this is the first time I've seen one based on tea tree oil. And it's perfect! It cleared every pimple I tried it on within 24 hours, felt soothing on the skin, and didn't leave any visible residue.Also, since it's a spot treatment, this tiny tube will last a long time, making it an outstanding value.
