Q: How thick is the metal cooking surface?

Using my trusty micrometer, I find that the entire structure of the piece is made out of (likely stamped out puzzle-like) the same thickness of stainless steel of 1.2mm. This is not made of very thick material, and it doesn't make a cooking surface like a Blackstone griddle or a cast iron griddle. It does have some hot spots, depending on what you are using for heat. But, it works well enough for bacon and eggs, burgers, dogs, pepper and onion, hashbrowns, etc. I purchased mine to see if I liked the idea of a larger griddle enough to purchase a stand alone griddle. I don't, it turns out.

Q: could this be used on an electric coil stove top?

It works but would probably take a bit longer for it to heat up because there is a webbed grid on the bottom side of the griddle.

Q: Is the grease trap detachable?

No Grease trap is part of the form and will not separate It make cleanup a challenge but otherwise stays out of the way I actually find the low sides and back to be a bigger challenge, especially when stir frying vegetables on the grill. The low walls always result in lost items

Q: Will this fit in a 22" kettle grill?
